That was a wonderful ball from James Ward-Prowse. Adam Armstrong just can't get the power on it that he wants.

That has really lifted the crowd here, as well.

Adam Armstrong is one-on-one with Kyle Walker after being picked out by James Ward-Prowse's superb ball. Armstrong waits for support and then cuts inside before his shot is deflected behind off John Stones and the corner is then cleared.

I'm yet to be convinced by his display in this false nine role.

Ralph Hasenhuttl, in his smart waistcoat, came out early before the start of the second half and looked like someone who had had too much too soon at a wedding. He looked exhausted as he sat in the dugout but has his second wind now as he prowls the touchline, watching on as Adam Armstrong drags a shot wide.

Well that was a great first half, more of the same in the second?

Southampton had been applying pressure and while the goal was a bit soft they won't complain about that. Manchester City have not been at their best and there is real hope and belief inside St. Mary's.

What a time to equalise and the perfect tonic for the start of this second half.

It was a really good pass and a really good run. They have done that three or four times.

They have pressed, they have won the second ball. It is what Ralph's team does really well. They have played some good stuff. They have really put Manchester City under pressure at times.

Southampton have been playing some really good balls in behind and I have been in Aymeric Laporte's position there before where you're trying to read the ball and your position.

I think Zack Steffen probably could've come out but he obviously just didn't want to give away the foul.

I think he is onside, Mohamed Elyounoussi gets really lucky that it comes off Aymeric Laporte. He just tries to get it across the goal and Laporte gets in the way and Southampton are now right back in this.

It isn't offside and that's the last action of the half as the two teams go in level!
