    Netherlands 2-0 Qatar

Qatar coach Felix Sanchez slams a bottle of water to the floor, frustrated as another attack ends in disappointment in the final third. He definitely feels his side are capable of better than they have shown in this tournament.

It's better from Ecuador, they've got more players up front in attacking positions, better positions. More bodies are forward and it allows Gonzalo Plata to take up his position and ask a different question of Senegal. They haven't really sussed it out yet, they haven't adjusted.

    Netherlands 2-0 Qatar

Qatar have seven players in the opposition half but when Abdelkarim Hassan gets down the left and is ready to cross none of them get into the box.

Hassan waits and waits for support, but waits too long and the ball goes out of play as he crosses.

    Ecuador 0-1 Senegal

Angelo Preciado gets down the right with a good overlapping run but can't pick out a yellow shirt and Senegal clear.

Before kick off, I would have taken Senegal to play next round but they look much stronger than Ecuador!

You can see why Man United have been linked with Gakpo. Finesse on the finish, physical strength and great pace on it. Has the potential to win the Golden Boot in this tournament: can win a game on his own.

    Ecuador 0-1 Senegal

Lazy defending from Angelo Preciado, the Ecuador right back has Ismaila Sarr penned in near his own corner flag but just tugs his shirt and gives away a cheap free-kick.

There could be a role reversal in this half where Senegal don't have to chase it all of a sudden and might be lulled into sitting back and losing it and Ecuador with Valencia and Estrada up front having to force it.

Ecuador have been flat. They will be thinking if they are going to go out, they can't go out like this. Maybe it will be a change and a spark. A difference in intensity is certainly needed.

Depay has attempted five shots, his highest total in a single match in the World Cup.

He clearly fancies his chances against this frail Qatari back line.

It was a tap-in for Frenkie de Jong after Memphis Depay's shot was saved. It looks like the Netherlands are going to progress top of the group.

Never a good idea to go into a game with the mindset of playing for a draw, going to be difficult for Ecuador to turn this around.

    Frenkie De Jong (50 mins)

    De Jong doubles the lead!

Davy Klaassen's cross is headed on by a Qatar player to Memphis Depay at the far post. The striker's shot is superbly saved at close range but the loose ball fall kindly for Frenkie De Jong to stab in.

That is surely that. The Netherlands look to be taking the win here and with it top in Group A.

    This is better from Qatar!

They work the ball down the right to Ismail Mohamad and this time there are three of their players waiting in the box for the cross, which is cut out when it is sent in, but that's better to see.
