Good from Declan Rice. Wales will know England are going to come after them. They're so dynamic with the likes of Rice, Jordan Henderson and Jude Bellingham in the middle. No doubt the objective is just get the ball back.

Dan James isn't getting a lot of help from his team-mates. Ethan Ampadu is the latest to fire a wayward pass in his direction that goes out for a throw.

Gareth Bale's first involvement is a poor pass aimed towards Dan James on the left that runs out of play. It brings a grimace to the ex-Real Madrid man's face.

Declan Rice clearly isn't in the mood to allow Aaron Ramsey any time on the ball. He steams into the midfielder and knocks him to the turf.

Joe Allen is bundled over in the middle of the park. Wales will finally get a decent feel of the ball.

It doesn't last long, though, as England quickly rob the lads in red and set about stroking passes about again.

If they keep playing it around the back it's okay, but at some point you have to apply pressure.

England can afford to be patient. They're certainly demonstrating an intent to be just that in these early stages. Wales are harrying, though. Pressing well.

Wales have switched to a back four, which a lot of people were calling for.

Wales have to stay calm, make sure they don't concede anything or let England build any sort of momentum in the game.

Predictably, England have sought to get hold of the ball early and share some passes in their own half. The noise rises a tad as Marcus Rashford tries to get into the Welsh box, but he is tackled before he can cause too much panic.

Aaron Ramsey, criticised for his performance against Iran, should have licence to roam in his preferred 10 role behind striker Kieffer Moore.

If it is down to pure talent in the respective XIs, then England should win this. But these kind of games always have an edge that balances things out.
