Do all these Everton fans 'having Lukaku back' really think he'll be up for championship football next season? Don't see it myself!

What a job Thomas Frank has done. If there was any tiny bit of relegation concern still, it's over now.

Southampton had plenty of chances but couldn't take them.

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:51 British Summer Time 7 May 2022

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Watford

Jean-Philippe Mateta is on for Crystal Palace, replacing Wilfried Zaha, and he has an almost immediate impact but his effort is saved by Ben Foster.

First bit of Burnley quality. Great run by Cornet, he times it, he rounds Martinez and smacks it into the top corner.

    Finally, Burnley get something.

Liz: Eriksen is pure class. If he doesn't want to stay at Brentford, I'd have him at City in a second. Now there's a Pep player.

Burnley have one back! It could be important if it comes down to goal difference.

Maxwel Cornet rounds the goalkeeper and then thumps into the roof of the net.

Honestly, the League Two drama is better than what's happening in this game. Burnley have as good as given up for today, Aston Villa are having a kickabout.

Lukaku hasn't delivered in the PL with any team? Anon (16.36) clearly never saw him play for Everton. We'd like him back please.

It has gone a bit flat. Burnley can't get any momentum, Villa are delaying it. The fans are leaving here with disappointment as you can understand.

Burnley have done remarkable these last few weeks; the fight is there, they've got to keep believing. Villa have been excellent, they look like the could score more at any moment.

The last time Chelsea failed to win a Premier League match in which they were leading by at least a two-goal margin was on 17 October 2020, in a 3-3 home draw against Southampton.

And they are just trying to hang on here.

Away to Tottenham and Aston Villa and at home to Newcastle, winnable fixtures for the Clarets?

They might have looked at these two Villa games as the most likely to yield three points but they have been firmly outplayed today.
