There are a few inflatable kangaroos in the Australian end - well, it's more like a few rows than an actual end - and they are being waved around a lot at the moment.

The belief is coming into it for Australia. You're looking at Argentina and wondering if they're going to start playing soon.

Corner for Australia. Riley McGree takes and he finds Harry Souttar. The big defender jumps over Nicolas Otamendi and heads the ball into the ground and Argentina can clear.

McGree and Souttar both play in the English Championship.

Australia are growing into the game all over the pitch. Any fear they had is flowing away at the moment.

Plenty of possession for Argentina and the man pulling the strings as the South Americans try to manoeuvre Australia and prove for a gap, is highly-rated Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez.

He's not venturing too far from the centre circle at any stage but he's patrolling the middle of the park with some authority.

Argentina haven't really caught the eye so far in Qatar, have they?

This is quite an encouraging start by Australia, who have been pretty effective at stopping Argentina find their rhythm, but it is very early days.

At this stage of their opening group game against defending champions France, they were 1-0 up... and we all know how that ended up.

Aaron Mooy's corner is headed away by Nicolas Otamendi. I can't be the only one to be a bit surprised Otamendi is still Argentina's first choice at the back.
