A huge roar, a huge oohhhhh, then they all switch the lights on their phones... presumably looking to film 'the moment'.

Morocco have had the better chances. Of that there is no doubt.

Nayef Aguerd should be putting Morocco ahead here.

They put a free-kick into the box and then Achraf Hakimi's cross is glanced by Sergio Busquets out to Sofiane Boufal.

Boufal beats his man and crosses and West Ham's Aguerd heads over from maybe six yards out.

The Moroccans need to get Sofian Boufal or Hakim Ziyech high up the pitch in an area where they can give some sort of help to the centre-forward.

Youssef En-Nesyri has had very little to work on. He’s getting nothing out of Rodri and Aymeric Laporte.

Morocco's Sofiane Boufal has completed four dribbles so far, which is more than every other player on the field combined (three).

The ex-Southampton player has seen plenty of the ball and had 20 touches so far as Morocco look to use their strengths down the flanks.

They also seem keen to test Spain's Marcos Llorente, who was picked at right-back ahead of Cesar Azpilicueta and Dani Carvajal.

That was presumable to counter Boufal's pace - but Llorente has been outdanced by the Moroccan's fast feet so far.

Oh look a Spain pass, oh look another one. That's 318 now. I haven't counted them all but I trust Opta.

From the media's viewpoint, high in the stands, you can see just how well organised Morocco are when Spain advance with the ball.

The 2010 world champions have to get past two blocks of four and five Morocco players, who are spread either just inside or just outside their own area. The spare Morocco man, and it is always someone different, goes to close down the ball.

All while being jeered by the World Cup's loudest whistlers in the stands.

Spain are being given time to pass the ball round the middle half of the pitch but the moment they get into the final quarter of the pitch, they are just crowded out.

Four players around Dani Olmo, who can't get the ball down in the box. Gavi commits a foul and Morocco have a breather now.

Gavi crosses for Barcelona team-mate Ferran Torres, who is immediately crowded out of it by three Morocco players in the box. They just can't get any space.

Seconds later Morocco get a free-kick.

It’s become quite noticeable that the Spanish players are getting really infuriated by it.

They are trying to out-cool each other these defenders.

I can’t believe Rodri has played it back to his goalkeeper, the pressure he is under.

Youssef En-Nesyri is a goalscorer, he will chase but Rodri looked comfortable.

Best chance of the game - and it's to Morocco. Noussair Mazraoui wins the ball off Ferran Torres about 30 yards from goal and has a crack but his powerful strike is saved by Unai Simon.

I've heard some pretty loud followings during this tournament so far.

Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico have all produced incredible atmospheres.

But this opening half hour from the Morocco supporters is undoubtedly the loudest I have heard so far. Another level.

Morocco forward Youssef En-Nesyri has touched the ball three times in 30 minutes.

Spain-born Morocco right-back Achraf Hakimi is instrumental in his team's gameplan, using his attacking instincts to get forward as much as possible.

The PSG player has had 20 touches of the ball - which is more than any of his team-mates.

Seven of these touches have been in the Spain half, underlining how the majority of Morocco's attacks have come down the right flank.

A journalist waving an imaginary yellow card is the saddest thing I've ever heard.

A Spanish journalist next to me in the media tribune is getting increasingly frustrated with the officials.

He was just waving an imaginary yellow card in the direction of the pitch, suggesting Morocco's players are being allowed to get away with one or two things here.
