    Goncalo Ramos

The man who replaced Cristiano Ronaldo scores!

Goncalo Ramos marks his first international start with a brilliant goal. From a throw, he is picked out inside the box by Joao Felix, the angle is very tight but somehow Ramos finds the only place the keeper didn't have covered, hammering into the roof of the net just inside the near post.

    What a finish.

I think the loudest cheer of the night will be when Ronaldo comes to warm up and gets up out of the dugout.

Can Portugal do without Ronaldo? Yes they can. Look at how the Euro 2016 final turned out without him for the majority of that match.

Not sure how warm it is down at pitch level tonight but Ricardo Rodríguez and Edimilson Fernandes will be ticking over the kilometre count.

The wingers drop into a back five when Portugal have the ball but are then quick to get up and support the attack when Switzerland win it back.

A great ball out to the right flank by Ruben Vargas but Edimilson Fernandes then puts too much on his ball into the box and it goes out of play.

Portugal then lose possession just outside their own box but Xherdan Shaqiri is unable to capitalise in time.

    A good spell for Switzerland.

When Switzerland do get the pass deep in their own half, the press from Portugal is really clever, down to the direction of how they are pressing. They've really got the pressure on Switzerland.

Switzerland are looking much more comfortable in possession now, particularly down the left. Pepe goes in a bit too strong on Xherdan Shaqiri for the referee's liking and the Swiss have a free kick around halfway.

It's just interesting to see how Switzerland cope. They haven't had a lot of possession so far and they won't mind that. The way Portugal have started the game on the ball, they look so comfortable.

Breel Embolo, despite that early knock, is looking dangerous. He does well on the edge of the area to open up a bit of space for himself but then Pepe puts himself in the way of the shot when it comes. The ball goes out for a corner but it comes to nothing.

All the noise is coming from the Portugal fans behind the goal to our left. They have a few different musical instruments with them. The Swiss contingent are mainly on the far side and they were chanting loudly before kick-off.

Breel Embolo is caught by Ruben Dias' stray arm and is in some discomfort just off the pitch. He wants a free kick but it will be a Portugal throw.

A good start by Portugal, switching the play well as they look to find the gaps.

Joao Felix knocks the ball to Bruno Fernandes inside the box but his first touch is a heavy one and Switzerland clear.

Switzerland were really passive against Brazil and didn't manage a shot on target, but their other games in Qatar give us a better idea of what to expect from them here.

Portugal have some excellent players but the Swiss will be full of confidence after the way they overcame Serbia to get to the last 16. They also beat Portugal when they played them in the Nations League in June.

This will be close and I have a feeling Cristiano Ronaldo will have a big say in the outcome - although not necessarily in a positive way.

Sutton's prediction: 1-1 - Switzerland to win on penalties after extra time, with Ronaldo missing the decisive spot-kick.
