England need to be braver in the 2nd half There are spaces in the midfield, we've just got to be have a go.

    Nathanael from London

As much as it pains me to say as an England fan…Saka’s feet slipped more than anything and it wasn’t a foul. The penalty a little more dubious, looked bang on the line to me but as we saw with the Japan goal against Spain, the camera angles we see can be deceptive. VAR for clear and obvious error, that was neither. But all in all, promising signs and I’ll back us to score at least one in the next 45! C'mon England!

France lead but there's a long way to go yet.

All the onus is on England, who need to put aside any grievances and focus on finding a goal.

I think England have actually been excellent. Kane had a couple of chances, on another day he sticks it away against Lloris, he could've had a penalty so they'll go into the break with their heads held high.

I think it was everything we expected. The role of Griezmann has been the player of this game and then on the penalty shout he recovers the ball up high. England have to put them under more pressure like that quite regularly.

Right now, when the game is in front of France, it's a bit too easy, a bit too predicable.

John: England have not played as fluidly as they can, perhaps the occasion getting to them. Still have the quality to come back in the second half but need to change their mindset.

Matt: England have done okay so far, but at some point they are going to have to increase the pace of the game, which means pressing France a bit more. That will allow France opportunities but it’s a chance we have to take.

Chris: France have been tactically better, they know their defence is not good enough so are sitting back and hitting on the break, there’s still a chance for England p.s Griezman is looking like he might get sent off, run at him!

Saka's staying really wide, Kane's coming deep which has been effective. Kyle Walker has realised that Mbappe isn't coming with him when he has the opportunity to go but unfortunately him being up the field creates problems trying to get back.

Griezmann has been an absolute pleasure to watch, he's so clever. He's dropping really deep to collect the ball, playing a one-touch pass and then making runs to force Bellingham out to the left-hand side. He's controlling the pace.
