  1. 'We feel like spectators'published at 14:39 British Summer Time 10 May 2022

Leeds v Chelsea (Wed, 19:30 BST)

    Chelsea

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel admits news on players at the club potentially leaving does prove a little distracting.

The Blues are unable to pursue incoming transfers until a takeover of the club concludes.

"I think you can always end up in a situation where players at the end of a season have talks with other clubs and get a bit distracted. It happens. It's easier if you are free to act and be involved in the talks. Right now it feels like we are spectators of the development which we don't like.

"It's a passive role. Yes, you can feel it. We have discussed a lot of points, if you bring all these points together you maybe have the explanation why the edge in our game may be missing. It's not a moment to point fingers to the players or be too hard or demanding. Demanding yes but not overdo it. We trust ourselves."

  2. 'Focus on your team'published at 14:31 British Summer Time 10 May 2022

Tottenham v Arsenal (Thur, 19:45 BST)

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte is asked about Jurgen Klopp's comments after the Liverpool boss said he could not coach the pragmatic tactics Spurs deployed in their 1-1 draw at Anfield.

"I want to win every game, I try to transfer this thought to my players. When I stay in one team, my aspiration or desire is to fight to win the title. To win the league in England is not easy. Pep Guardiola says Liverpool won one league in 30 years, it shows it is not simple. Maybe sometimes it's easier to win the Champions League than the league in England.

"But after the game against Liverpool, the good answer that I heard was my players were disappointed at the end of the game. They felt the possibility to win the the game. We analysed the game the day after. If there was a team that deserved to win it was Tottenham and not Liverpool.

"I think in this game, Klopp understood he gained one point, not lost two points. I think Jurgen is an intelligent person. He was a bit frustrated after the game. For us, a top coach, it's important to learn to be focused on your team and not your opponent. If you are focused on your opponent it means you want to find an excuse or alibi because something was wrong."

  3. Champions League changespublished at 14:27 British Summer Time 10 May 2022

    BBC Sport

UEFA will ratify a serious of changes to the Champions League from 2024 onwards this afternoon.

After more meetings this morning, a new format has been agreed that will involve 36 teams in the first phase, each playing eight games each over 10 match weeks.

Two of the additional four places will be awarded on the basis of the highest performing countries in each individual season of UEFA club competition.

This will be achieved by dividing the number of co-efficient points by the number of clubs involved in that particular campaign.

If the qualification criteria was applied this season, England and the Netherlands would have an additional place in next term's competition.

The knock-on will almost certainly be an amendment to the EFL Cup as the additional UEFA dates will impact the times when domestic matches can be played.

  4. 'More expectation can mean more disappointment'published at 14:23 British Summer Time 10 May 2022

Leicester v Norwich (Wed, 19:45 BST)

    Leicester City

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers gives his take on the Foxes being 14th in the Premier League and he says he still hopes they can achieve a top-half finish.

"I said that would be important for us," says Rodgers. "This season because expectations have really increased due to performance over the last couple of years - when that increased the disappointment increases. I always have the bigger picture here. It's important to finish the season strong, as high as you possibly can to take a good confidence into the pre season, that's our aim."

On Manchester City he adds: "We are talking about top coaches, top team, top players. They are really good in all sides of the game. We try to do our best to change their direction.

  9. 'We have been impressive'published at 13:55 British Summer Time 10 May 2022

Wolves v Man City (Wed, 20:15 BST)

    Manchester City

Pep Guardiola gives his view on Manchester City's achievement this season: "We are new in this as a club, the last decade. We are new in being there. All I can say is inside, the staff, the chairman, owner, we know how difficult it is and hope proud we are with what we are doing. What we have done, hopefully in future we will continue doing. It is so impressive what we have done, especially in the Premier League as everyone knows how difficult it is."

  11. 'Lage may be back for City'published at 13:49 British Summer Time 10 May 2022

Wolves v Man City (Wed, 20:15 BST)

    Wolves

With manager Bruno Lage still testing positive for Covid, Wolves first team coach Carlos Cachada is speaking to the media.

On how Bruno is: "Bruno tested positive. No symptoms. At the end of today he will do another test and hopefully be negative so he can go to the game tomorrow. If he tests positive we will test again tomorrow."

On how Lage communicated during the training game: "The gaffer was at the training ground watching the game live on TV and he is communicating with us every second so it worked quite well. It was pretty effective. With the noise sometimes you can't hear everything but it was effective especially with subs. Before the game we went on Zoom with the players and he showed what he wanted with powerpoints, communicated everything. At half-time we did exactly the same."

Wolves v Man City (Wed, 20:15 BST)

    Manchester City

Asked about the injuries his side have sustained after it was announced Ruben Dias, John Stones and Kyle Walker will miss the end of the season.

"Nothing has changed," he says. "After the Newcastle game, we go into the last three games with the players we have and go for it. We have problems in one department and the others will solve it. We go for it."

  14. 'No one player will solve problems'published at 13:39 British Summer Time 10 May 2022

Wolves v Man City (Wed, 20:15 BST)

    Manchester City

Pep Guardiola says for legal reasons he cannot go into the Erling Haaland news.

He's asked what sort of a difference a number nine will make for his team but he does a fine job of working his way around that question.

"We have a number nine now," he says. "We have I guess new players in the squad, some from the academy come up next season. New players always helps to be a stronger team. But not one defender or striker will solve our defensive or scoring problems.

"Not me, the club always has to have a vision for the future. The decisions the club makes I am aware and supportive 100%."

"75 days ago, this boy dreamed of becoming a football player and trained carefree with his team," Zinchenko wrote.

"Today, he dreams of only one thing - about peace in our country. About the calm. About normal life at home."

Jesper Ek: Toon need minimum a central striker who’s not injury prone, a solid def midfielder, a quick centre-half, a (permanent) left back. A quality wide striker to challenge Allan Saint-Maximin and Fraser would be nice too and maybe a keeper to challenge Dubravka.

G: For NUFC: Targett on a permanent, Henderson from Man U, Tarkowski & one of the foreign targets from January. Ward Prowse, Kalvin Phillips, and a centre forward would be a solid start.

Manchester City are moving for Erling Haaland but who do you want for your team? From Lincoln to Liverpool, drop us a tweet on #bbcfootball.
