That's all of the 15:00 BST games wrapped up now on this opening Saturday of the EFL season.

Let's take a look at the headlines across the three leagues shall we?

  6. FULL-TIMEpublished at 17:02 British Summer Time 30 July 2022

    Hull City 2-1 Bristol City

Heartbreak for Bristol City right at the death, as they fall to a 2-1 defeat at Hull after conceding an injury-time Jean Michael Seri goal.

Andi Weimann put the Robins ahead in the first-half before Ozan Tufan equalised from the spot with 20 minutes to go.

But Bristol City proved they haven't yet shaken the curse of conceding late in matches, and they leave with nothing after letting in a goal with three minutes left on the clock.

  7. FULL-TIMEpublished at 17:00 British Summer Time 30 July 2022

    Cardiff City 1-0 Norwich City

A perfect start for Cardiff City who beat relegated Norwich City 1-0, with Romaine Sawyers' goal the difference.

Both sides finished the match with 10 men, however, with Perry Ng sent off for the Bluebirds and Grant Hanley shown red for the Canaries.

  8. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:59 British Summer Time 30 July 2022

    Wigan 0-0 Preston

No goals but no lack of trying in this one.

Both sides had plenty of chances but a mix of good goalkeeping and some wasteful finishing means the points are shared.

Ched Evans was sent off late on for the away side after coming on as a substitute.

What on earth is happening at Edgeley Park?!

Stockport think they have a penalty to make it 3-3 deep into stoppage time, but the decision is overturned as the assistant has his flag up for offside.

    So close, yet so far.

    Rotherham 1-1 Swansea

Spoils shared in this entertaining opener.

Chiedozie Ogbene gave the home side the lead but Harry Darling levelled with a super long range effort.

Michael Obafemi probably should have won it for the Swans but he got it all wrong from close in.

  11. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 30 July 2022

    Blackpool 1-0 Reading

Just the ticket for new Blackpool boss Michael Appleton.

Callum Connolly's first-half strike is enough to see the Seasiders start off with three points.

  12. goal

GOAL: Hull City 2-1 Bristol Citypublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 30 July 2022

Jean Michael Seri (90 +3 mins)

    Deja vu for Bristol City.

Somehow the side who were 1-0 up suffer late heartbreak again and concede an injury-time goal on the opening day (as they did so many times last season) with just three minutes left on the clock.

This time it's Jean Michael Seri, signed from Fulham this summer, who finds the net. The ball falls to him on the edge of the box and strikes it beyond Dan Bentley into the net.

A fabulous strike from Lewis Travis in the first half has given Blackburn all three points on opening day. Rovers did all the running and attacking. QPR threw men on late in the game but Thomas Kaminski didn’t have a save to make in front of net the full the 90 minutes.

  14. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:53 British Summer Time 30 July 2022

    Millwall 2-0 Stoke City

A dream afternoon for teenager Charlie Cresswell, who scores two headers on his debut for Millwall and gives his side a 2-0 win over Stoke.

  15. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:52 British Summer Time 30 July 2022

Blackburn captain Lewis Travis' goal gets his side off to the perfect start.

    Luton Town 0-0 Birmingham City

The clock is winding down at Kenilworth Road and we're heading towards a match with no goals between Luton and Birmingham.

Luton have had the better of the chances, but of their 14 efforts only four have actually been on target.

    Rotherham 1-1 Swansea

Fine shot from Dan Barlaser for the Millers but Andy Fisher is equal to it in the Swans goal.

  18. Postpublished at 16:45 British Summer Time 30 July 2022

    Blackburn 1-0 QPR

Ben Brereton Diaz looks to wrap it up for the home side but his shot flies just past the post.

  19. RED CARD (Norwich City)published at 16:43 British Summer Time 30 July 2022

    Grant Hanley (85 mins)

We've got 10 versus 10 for the final few minutes of this match, as Norwich captain Grant Hanley gets shown a second yellow and is sent off for a foul on Mark Harris.

Norwich's start to life in the Championship couldn't be going worse, so far.

  20. RED CARD - Ched Evans (Preston)published at 16:42 British Summer Time 30 July 2022

    Wigan 0-0 Preston

Ched Evans' day is short and not sweet.

The veteran striker, on as a sub, is sent off for a poor tackle on Curtis Tilt.
