  1. Morelos returns in triple changepublished at 16:24 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

    Rangers 1-0 Kilmarnock

Kilmarnock have withdrawn the injured Liam Donnelly, who is replaced by Liam Polworth.

Alfredo Morelos makes his Rangers return after five months out as part of a triple change with Rabbi Matondo and Borna Barisic also coming on.

Ridvan Yilmaz, Scott Wright and Antonio Colak make way.

  2. Carson at the double for Buddiespublished at 16:22 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

    Aberdeen 3-1 St Mirren

It really should be four for Aberdeen. Bojan Miovski is played through by a fantastic ball from Liam Scales, but he takes too long and Trevor Carson is able to block at close range.

The ball is worked back to Vicente Besuijen who hammers a low shot at goal, but Carson saves again.

  3. CLOSE!published at 16:21 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

    Motherwell 0-1 St Johnstone

It's clearance after desperate, goal-saving clearance at Fir Park.

This time it's in the St Johnstone box after a mix-up between Remi Matthews and Adam Montgomery leaves Connor Shields with the goal at his mercy.

Andy Considine is quick to react, though, sticking out a long leg to deflect Shields' point-blank effort over the bar.

  4. Postpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

    Rangers 1-0 Kilmarnock

The diminutive Steven Davis gets up to send a looping header over the Kilmarnock goal from Scott Wright's cross. Rangers pushing for a second.

  5. goal

GOAL Ross County 1-1 Celticpublished at 16:17 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

    Alex Iacovitti

Ross County had been enjoying some decent attacking possession...

A corner is lofted into the box by Owura Edwards that is met by Alex Iacovotti to bullet his header home. Simple as that.

    Game back on in Dingwall.

  6. CLOSE!published at 16:16 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

    Motherwell 0-1 St Johnstone

A vital touch from Sondre Solholhm Johansen prevents St Johnstone extending their lead.

Jamie Murphy tears up the left on the counter, and has Theo Bair waiting to tap home in the middle.

But the powerful Norwegian, Motherwell's only covering defender, slides in to divert the pass behind. Massive touch, that.

  7. goal

GOAL Aberdeen 3-1 St Mirrenpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

    Jonah Ayunga (pen)

Not the best penalty from the striker. Kelle Roos gets a big hand to it, but he can't keep it out.

The St Mirren fans that remain have something to cheer, finally.

Almost a fourth for Aberdeen! Bojan Miovski is in again, he tries the cute finish across the keeper but Trevor Carson gets a foot to it.

No hat-trick for the North Macedonian... yet.

  11. goal

GOAL Rangers 1-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

    Antonio Colak

He's been waiting all day for a clear shot at goal and now Antonio Colak has his first Rangers goal.

The striker plays a one-two with Tom Lawrence and just slides the ball across Sam Walker into the net.

One change for the Buddies at half-time. Curtis Main is off and Ryan Flynn is off. Damage limitation measures, perhaps?

Jonah Oyunga got lucky there. He's not been booked for a terrible challenge on Matty Kennedy about a minute into the half.

  13. Killie chance at Ibroxpublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

    Rangers 0-0 Kilmarnock

Kilmarnock threaten at Ibrox with Fraser Murray squaring for Rory McKenzie and the winger flicking the ball over. An encouraging moment for the visitors.

What a challenge from Alex Mitchell!

Kevin van Veen plays Joe Efford in on goal, but a tremendous sliding recovery from Mitchell takes the ball off the attacker's toes.

Fabulous from the big St Johnstone defender.

  15. goal

GOAL Ross County 0-1 Celticpublished at 16:07 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

    Kyogo Furuhashi

Must have been a decent half-time team talk.

The away side didn't get any space in the first half and the first time they do, they score.

Callum McGregor slips the ball to Jota who takes a clever touch past a defender before picking out Kyogo for a simple finish.

  16. Hammell makes half-time changespublished at 16:04 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

    Motherwell 0-1 St Johnstone

Steven Hammell is clearly concerned at Motherwell's first-half performance. The interim boss makes two changes at the break, taking off Barry Maguire and Josh Morris, and introducing Dean Cornelius and Joe Efford. Could that provide the spark the Steelmen have lacked?

  20. 'Dons take shackles off'published at 16:02 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

    HT: Aberdeen 3-0 St Mirren

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

After a shaky start, Aberdeen have produced a masterclass at Pittodrie. The sending off was undoubtedly the turning point, which saw the Dons take the shackles off. They have pulled depleted St Mirren all over the park, with the visitors unable to cope with their movement.

And the third goal, wait until you see it, a goal fit to grace and win any game.

It looks like being a case of damage limitation for St Mirren after the break.
