Brentford 0-3 Arsenal
Brentford have a chance to pull one back as they get a free-kick right on the edge of the box after Gabriel Martinelli drags down Ben Mee.

Fabio Vieira has curled it in off the post for Arsenal’s third. He didn't do a huge amount in the first-half, but there he has really sprung to prominence with a brilliant 20-yard left-footed curling shot.
Fabio Vieira
Ooooooff!
Arsenal get a third at the start of the second half and that is game over.
Bukayo Saka lays the ball off to Fabio Vieira 25 yards out. There's no pressure, no challenge so the ex-Porto midfielder sizes one up and rockets a finish into the back of the net via the post again.
The 'clank' as it went in was highly satisfying and Vieira off the mark for the Gunners in some style.
Brentford 0-2 Arsenal
Almost oh so sublime from Gabriel Jesus inside the Brentford box, as he shows some quick feet to escape two defenders but is then smothered by a third.
Brentford 0-2 Arsenal
Thomas Frank will likely have torn into his Brentford players at half-time.
They need a vast improvement in the second period.
Off we go again.
Rob prefers not to talk about the Manchester United defeat.

Maybe a fair measuring stick for Arsenal will be their league position after they have played Spurs and Liverpool (both at home) their next 2 PL games- both teams on another level to the 5 teams they have played and beaten!!

Brentford 0-2 Arsenal
Remember, Arsenal have 15-year-old Ethan Nwaneri (15y, 181d) on their bench.
Will he come on in the second half?
He would become the youngest to make an appearance in the Premier League era, overtaking Harvey Elliott (16y, 30d for Fulham in 2019).

Arsenal fully deserve the lead. They've dominated possession, in particular, they’ve dominated midfield where the returning Thomas Partey and captain Granit Xhaka have run the show.
Brentford 0-2 Arsenal
It's a nice kickabout with the boys at the moment for Arsenal ⚽
Mikel Arteta's side in total command and heading back to the summit.
Brentford 0-2 Arsenal
Half a chance for Brentford as Bryan Mbeumo beats Gabriel in the area but can't get enough purchase on the header.
Brentford 0-2 Arsenal
Brentford are sitting back, not engaging so Kieran Tierney strides forward and thinks why not? But his strike from outside the area is always rising.
Wasn't too far away though.

While Alan (12.36) is not wrong, Arsenal were very clearly the better team vs Man U. The better team doesn't always win. That is the joy of football. But if Arsenal play that well in all the big 6 games they will win more than they lose. Guaranteed.
Paul, London
Brentford 0-2 Arsenal
Five minutes to have half, Arsenal in charge and it's a walk in the park for them at the moment.
Brentford 0-2 Arsenal
It has been 33 minutes since Brentford last attempted a shot in this game.
Brentford 0-2 Arsenal
Brentford set-piece taking has not been great today, another one from Mathias Jensen this time which is flat and fails to clear the first man.

Arsenal fans remember: 6 games v teams all outside last season's top 6 all won. 1 game v team in last season's top 6 lost.
Alan
Brentford 0-2 Arsenal
Granit Xhaka has plenty of space once again and goes for a spectacular strike which he gets all wrong.
Brentford 0-2 Arsenal
David Coote letting the game flow, Gabriel Martinelli not once, twice but has three nibbles at Josh Da Silva in the corner, bundling the Brentford midfielder to the ground but no free-kick is given.
You know exactly what the home fans feel of that decision.
