    Man Utd v Newcastle (14:00BST)

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

Manchester United skipper Harry Maguire has just taken his seat in the directors' box.

Maguire has not played since picking up an injury on international duty with England last month.

He is back in training though and should be available to manager Erik ten Hag quite soon.

    Leeds v Arsenal (14:00 BST)

Arsenal could earn five consecutive victories against Leeds in all competitions for the first time.

Leeds have gone 12 league and cup meetings without a win since beating Arsenal 3-2 in the top-flight at Highbury in May 2003 (D2, L10).

Leeds are winless in seven competitive home matches against Arsenal and have failed to score more than one goal in any of the past 14 encounters at Elland Road.

  3. 'Arteta is creating principles at Arsenal'published at 13:57 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

With regards to Arteta, legacy is a big thing. From the outside we just see the performances but the impact that a manager can have on his players and the way that they perceive the game can be huge.

When the [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang thing was going on and people were saying that you had to play him, Arteta was creating principles and showing to those players that this is the way, if you want to play professionally and do well, you cannot do this.

For those players, they see the manager, they take his lead and that sort of mentality means that when they come into the team culture, this is what you're buying into. As opposed to some who come, don't really have an impact and then they just disappear.

The players get it, they're working really hard at it and the manager is giving them messages that we do what we can for the team. Success is not always guaranteed but improvement can and will happen. We're seeing that within the team. There is a shift in mentality at Arsenal and a lot of that is down to Arteta.

  4. Gerrard shares fans' frustrationpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

Aston Villa v Chelsea (14:00 BST)

    Alistair Magowan
    BBC Sport at Villa Park

Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard said he wants his players to "step up and be headline writers" after a stuttering start to the season. Presumably, he's not convinced Philippe Coutinho or Emiliano Buendia can do the scripting as the pair drop to the bench.

Gerrard, whose side are actually unbeaten in four with three of those draws, says he "shares the frustration" of fans after recent results and "the plan today is to use that frustration in the right way".

Chelsea fans are already busting out the Gerrard slip song as the sun douses Villa Park in lovely autumnal sunshine.

Anthony: I was feeling confident on our chances vs Man Utd until we lost St-Maximin from our line-up. He's a match winner on his day and adds more threat. I'd happily take a draw now! Fingers crossed for better...

  7. West Ham seem to find a waypublished at 13:53 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

Southampton v West Ham (14:00 BST)

It's hard to judge Southampton off the back of their last game, because it was at Etihad Stadium and everyone loses there.

But Saints will need to be much better than they were last last time out at St Mary's, when they were beaten by Everton.

I don't think the pressure on Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has gone away, and he needs a good result here.

I'm very tempted to go with a draw but things are going West Ham's way at the moment - certainly more than they are going Southampton's.

I really like Gianluca Scamacca up front, and the Hammers seem to be finding a way to win games.

    Sutton's prediction: 1-2

Southampton v West Ham (14:00 BST)

Saints were unbeaten in all three competitive games against West Ham last season, including a 3-1 home victory in the FA Cup fifth round.

However, Southampton's only win in the past six league meetings at home came more than five years ago, courtesy of a 93rd-minute penalty by Charlie Austin.

Kieran Trippier was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United when he was at Atletico Madrid.

He eventually ended up at Newcastle and has been one of the key figures in the club's rise under manager Eddie Howe.

With Reece James and Kyle Walker both struggling to be fit for the World Cup and Trent Alexander-Arnold's form being questioned, Trippier looks nailed on to be in Gareth Southgate's England squad for Qatar - and probably in his starting line-up.

I think the feeling among Aston Villa fans is that the jury is out on Steven Gerrard at the moment.

It's as much to do with Villa's style of play as their results - that's becoming a problem but he is hardly likely to change and be expansive against Chelsea, because they will be a nightmare to play against.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is scoring goals and Graham Potter is showing how adaptable he is as a manager.

Villa will be under pressure to win at home, and I can see the nerves getting the better of their players.

    Prediction: 0-2

  13. Potter discusses Chelsea 'glow up'published at 13:45 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

Aston Villa v Chelsea (14:00 BST)

    Graham PotterImage source, Getty Images

Chelsea boss Graham Potter joked this week that he is "growing into his face like a fine wine" when it was suggested he has had a 'glow up' since arriving at Stamford Bridge.

"Somebody said to me the other day that I have had a 'glow up'," said the former Brighton manager.

"I have no idea what that is. I am growing into my face like fine wine."

Potter conceded that leading Chelsea makes him more "high profile" and that his "face is unfortunately too often on the television".

But the 47-year-old still expressed surprise at social media talk of a makeover since he took over as Blues boss in September.

"I have had a haircut from somebody that cuts the lads' hair," added Potter.

"So probably that has made a difference, I don't know. It cost a lot more than I thought it was going to."

  16. Gerrard calls on players to 'step up'published at 13:39 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

Aston Villa v Chelsea (14:00 BST)

Aston Villa have taken nine points from nine games, leaving them two points above the bottom three.

Although Steven Gerrard's side are on a four-match unbeaten run, they have only won four of their last 20 matches.

Only Wolves have scored fewer goals in the league this term, and Steven Gerrard has called on his star players to "step up".

  17. 'Arsenal are buzzing at the moment'published at 13:37 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

    Leeds v Arsenal (14:00 BST)

Leeds were superb for the first 45 minutes against Crystal Palace but they could not sustain it.

This game might follow the same pattern, with Leeds putting so much into it early on, then being picked off later.

However it plays out, I'm expecting Arsenal to win because they are absolutely buzzing at the moment.

That confidence will be there because of their performance to beat Liverpool - I wasn't too far off with my 4-1 prediction either - and they have got plenty of goals in their front three.

If Leeds are as aggressive as I think they will be, there will be plenty of space for Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka to run in behind, and plenty of chances for Gabriel Jesus too.

    Sutton's prediction: 1-3

'Arteta is focused on the culture of the club'published at 13:31 British Summer Time 16 October 2022

    Leeds v Arsenal (14:00 BST)

    Rachel Corsie
Scotland and Aston Villa defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

The impressive thing about Mikel Arteta is he's so intentional and deliberate about the finest of details.

I thought that was impressive and the other thing I enjoyed about it [Arsenal's All or Nothing documentary] was how focused he is on the culture and not just the senior first team, it's about the culture of the club and that can spread throughout.

Having a little bit of an insight into what the women's team is doing, I know that they have a lot more integration with the men's team and they are integrated within the whole part of the club too and that filters through everything. That helps everybody, that culture within the club helps everyone to feel safe.

You perform at your best when you feel you have a safe environment, to truly make mistakes, get out of your comfort zone, be vulnerable and push yourself to the absolute limit. It will be interesting as the season goes on. When they go through a bad patch, that's when you'll hopefully see more of this character that has developed at a much deeper level.
