Son has been quiet today but he hasn't had much service and neither has Harry Kane. Man United have dominated proceedings especially in the centre of the pitch. When the ball has gone in to them, Martinez has really been aggressive with them. Every time I see Martinez, he impresses me in how he plays the game for someone so small playing at centre back.

Liverpool

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson after his penalty save helped the Reds beat West Ham: "It was a really tough game, a tough match, the opponent gave us hard work but we did a good job to create more chances than them, especially in the first half.

"When a goalkeeper saves a penalty it is always a massive thing. I believe the responsibility is on the penalty taker, the biggest advantage is in their hands but we work hard every to be fit, strong and have a good reaction.

"I'm pleased to make the save and help the team get the win. To save a penalty I need to be fast, agile, everything. It is also a mental moment and be clear to make the right decision."

On Reds striker Darwin Nunez scoring the winner with his first Anfield goal: "He scored a goal and had more chances. He helped us in the defensive phase, trying to run after the opponent and get the ball.

"He created a lot chances to score and could have scored more, but I'm happy he score his first goal at Anfield.

"He is a good lad, works hard every day and has good mentality. I'm very happy for him."

Hugo Lloris has conceded two tonight but has made a host of saves.

This is another stunning stop from the Frenchman, reacting sharply to deny Marcus Rashford's drive.

From the corner, the excellent Diogo Dalot heads over at the near post.

West Ham United

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice on coming away from Anfield without at least a point: "I feel sick, I honestly feel sick. We know it is tough place to come, you have to show grit, heart and desire.

"There was enough in the second half to nick something from the game. We are showing signs we can compete with the big boys.

"To show the courage we did in the second half, dominating the ball and creating chances, I'm proud of everyone. I'm just gutted we couldn't get something from the game like we should have."

Bruno Fernandes wants a second of the night but a long-range shot skips into the grasp of Hugo Lloris.

It started from De Gea making an outstanding save to deny Kane. Fred just knocks it back to Fernandes who curls it past Lloris who is at full stretch. He hasn't been good all season but he has been good in this game. He looks like he's back to how he was before, on the front foot and creating chances. That was a fantastic finish.

Southampton

Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse, talking to Amazon Prime: "It is a huge win for us. It has been a tough few weeks, results have't gone our way and performances have been good enough. We weathered the early storm and got playing, they dominated ehe second half but we had to adapt and play slightly differently but we came away with a good three points.

"It could have been easy to come here and fall apart with the run of form they are in and how things are going for us. We've got a great group of lads who will work hard no matter what and that was evident tonight.

"We had to be defensively solid and go to a back five and that showed that we can adapt. The only thing missing was the second goal to kill the game off.

"We know we'll score goals, we've got quality in the team, but the clean sheet will give a massive confidence boost to the team, but especially Gavin [Bazunu].

"You can see the relief in everyone that we managed to get the result. We don't care about any outside noise, we're just concentrating on playing football. We've got a great group of lads."

BIG chance falls Tottenham's way as Harry Kane latches on to a flick at the far post, he brings it down but strikes straight at David de Gea.

Man United have asked questions of Tottenham all game and Hugo Lloris has been able to answer most of them.

Can Spurs carve out an opportunity on the break? They've not really stretched David de Gea at all so far.

It's the opposite goalkeeper that's been doing all the work.
