Former Scotland forward on BBC Radio 5 Live

The clearance is shocking from Eric Dier, he can't control it, but these things happen. It is the defensive organisation from Tottenham that is really shocking. No-one picks up Ivan Toney. He is a striker and has that instinct to make the run and tuck it away, but the organisation from Tottenham is shocking.

Ivan Tony has now scored 23 goals in 50 Premier League appearances (for Newcastle United and Brentford). Only Kane (25) has scored more Premier League goals in 2022 than Toney (19).

Tottenham are extremely static: a header at the far post, nobody picks him up. Really poor.

That corner that led to the goal came from a mis-kick by Eric Dier.

This has been a horrible afternoon for Spurs so far.

    Harry Kane wants a penalty!

Ivan Perisic sends in a great delivery towards the back post and Kane goes down under a challenge from Ben Mee.

Spurs players rush to the referee to argue their case.

    Better from Spurs!

Ivan Perisic looks to tee-up a chance inside the box but Ben Mee puts it out for a corner before any damage can be done.

Tottenham have their work cut out. Brentford have won all 10 of their previous Premier League matches when they've been ahead at the break.

Antonio Conte's side have won two, lost two and drawn one on their matches in the Premier League this season when trailing at half-time.

As an Arsenal fan, I am finding it hard to enjoy this Brentford lead because I don't know what to expect from the Gunners without Jesus.

Tottenham are unbeaten in their past 15 league games played on 26 December (W12 D3) since a 2-0 loss at Portsmouth in 2003. In English league history (top four divisions), only Aston Villa have ever had a longer run without defeat on 26 December (20 between 1890 and 1913).

In response to 13:03 - getting used to playing in a Premier League side re Forster? He was Southampton's No1 for years and has Champions League and Europa League experience. More than good enough for Spurs' No2.

The immediate question of Arsenal's title credentials is how will they cope without the injured Gabriel Jesus. It's how he makes the team tick with or without the ball that makes him so vital.

The pick of the four 3pm kick-offs looks like Newcastle's trip to Leicester. Newcastle are in third place and unbeaten in their last 10 Premier League games but Leicester have found a rich vein of form themselves before the break.

And then Liverpool go to a rejuvenated Aston Villa with Villa's new boss Unai Emery looking to make it three league wins in a row.
