  3. When do the windows close?published at 13:25 British Summer Time 1 September 2022

Lots happening at the moment despite only a few deals going through. Some deals dependent on others going through elsewhere.

In Spain it is 23:00, in France it is 22:00, Italy's window shuts at 19:00 and Germany's deadline is 17:00 - all times BST.

Seen reports Fulham are in for Dan James for an eye watering £20m. If it's a loan with obligation to buy, there are serious echoes of Cavaleiro and Knockaert - not the ideal solution to the Kluivert collapse.

Leeds winger Dan James is attracting plenty of attention.

Tottenham and Fulham are two of a few clubs keen on the Wales international.

However, I have also been told Leeds are reluctant to let James leave without a replacement coming in.

If the first domino falls, James may get his move.

  10. No change to Ronaldo's positionpublished at 13:11 British Summer Time 1 September 2022

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport reporter

There has been so much noise around Cristiano Ronaldo this summer that I won't actually believe he is staying until the deadline has closed.

However, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was pretty straightforward yesterday in stating Ronaldo would stay and I am told nothing has changed as far as that is concerned.
