    Man City 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

Only one shot for each side so far, with Ederson making the only save.

Eight touches for Erling Haaland so far. He doesn't need many more than that to score a goal usually.

Applause and singing from fans for former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel in the 21st minute, to represent his Champions League triumph in 2021.

Many fans are still perplexed that he was sacked, but things move very quickly at Chelsea, as we know.

  3. Postpublished at 20:24 British Summer Time 14 September 2022

    Chelsea 0-0 RB Salzburg

Chelsea get into a great position, but the away side are defending in numbers as Raheem Sterling and Jorginho are both denied a chance to shoot. The Blues play it wide and keep the move going but Reece James' cross is too close to goalkeeper Philipp Kohn.

  4. 'City look in control'published at 20:23 British Summer Time 14 September 2022

Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

I’ve been pretty calm about the way City have gone about their business, they look in control. But when BVB get forward, they do throw players into the box. Modeste was unfortunate there, he could’ve had a free finish if Ake didn’t do his job.

  5. More experience for Jude Bellinghampublished at 20:23 British Summer Time 14 September 2022

    Man City 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

Jude Bellingham was talking about his England aspirations in yesterday's pre-match press conference.

The 19-year-old is certainly putting himself in the shop window by becoming such a pivotal player at Borussia Dortmund.

I wonder what Kalvin Phillips is thinking watching his international colleague from the bench.

Phillips has managed 13 minutes' action so far since his summer move from Leeds.

    Man City 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

City defender Nathan Ake heads back to Ederson before Jude Bellingham can get on a ball over the top. The keeper starts a quick break and Kevin de Bruyne wins a corner.

    Chelsea 0-0 RB Salzburg

Chelsea are knocking on the door. Reece James is too quick for the RB Salzburg full-back, gets to the byeline and stands up a cross in the direction of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The ex-Arsenal man can't get on the end of it, although it falls to Raheem Sterling but the visitors do well to quickly close him down, with the England man winning a corner, which comes to nothing.

    Man City 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

Almost a chance for Dortmund but Anthony Modeste air-kicks the ball from a right-wing cross. And actually he'd fouled Manuel Akanji anyway so it wouldn't have counted.

    Maccabi Haifa 0-0 PSG

We saw Robert Lewandowski leave his shooting boots in Barcelona last night, and another star forward, Kylian Mbappe, is struggling tonight.

He has a golden chance to put PSG ahead in Israel, going through one on one with Maccabi Haifa keeper Josh Cohen.

However Mbappe fluffs his chance, miscontrolling and taking the ball too close to Cohen who can gather it in.

    Chelsea 0-0 RB Salzburg

    Alistair Magowan

Plenty of thumbs up from Graham Potter for his players, mostly when they have come forward from defence to intercept the ball.

There is plenty of tempo from Chelsea so far, with every player on the attack at some point, except for Thiago Silva and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. Potter's side are playing very high up the pitch.

  11. Postpublished at 20:18 British Summer Time 14 September 2022

    Man City 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

Jude Bellingham is marking Erling Haaland but in the end neither get near the ball as the corner is played to the far side of the box and nothing happens.

  12. Postpublished at 20:17 British Summer Time 14 September 2022

    Man City 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

Jack Grealish cuts inside for City and has a shot blocked. They have a corner now.

  13. Postpublished at 20:17 British Summer Time 14 September 2022

    Man City 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

First chance of the game falls to Dortmund. The visitors counter quickly and Salih Ozcan's curling shot from the edge of the box is held by Ederson.

  14. Postpublished at 20:16 British Summer Time 14 September 2022

    Man City 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

Excellent defending by Niklas Sule. Riyad Mahrez dinks in a cross to the back post where Erling Haaland is waiting. Dortmund know exactly how dangerous that is and Sule leaps in the air to head the ball away before the inevitable goal.

  15. Postpublished at 20:15 British Summer Time 14 September 2022

    Chelsea 0-0 RB Salzburg

Tonight Graham Potter becomes the eighth Englishman to manage a side in the Champions League, and second for Chelsea, after Frank Lampard.

Only two of the previous seven won their first managerial game in the competition: Craig Shakespeare (Leicester - March 2017) and Michael Carrick (Manchester United - November 2021).

  16. 'Great skill by Cancelo'published at 20:15 British Summer Time 14 September 2022

    Man City 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

    Dion Dublin
Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Great bit of skill from Cancelo down the left-hand side. He’s only about 10 yards away from the corner flag and he’s trying to weave his way through. Again, Haaland was getting across his man at the near post.

  17. Postpublished at 20:13 British Summer Time 14 September 2022

    Chelsea 0-0 RB Salzburg

Chelsea have started brightly. They win a free-kick close to the left touchline and Marc Cucurella swings it in and Kai Havertz meets it but his header is blocked by away defender Benjamin Sesko.

  18. Postpublished at 20:13 British Summer Time 14 September 2022

    Man City 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

Nice skill by Joao Cancelo on the left wing as he cuts in but then a heavy touch takes him over the byeline.

  19. Pep's not happypublished at 20:12 British Summer Time 14 September 2022

    Man City 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

Pep Guardiola is not overly pleased at the way his team have started tonight.

The Manchester City boss has been gesturing to Joao Cancelo on the far side of the pitch, he shouted something to Erling Haaland and then he tried to get the attention of skipper Ilkay Gundogan.
