Boos ring out at half-time at Hampden but not for Scotland's performance.

The crowd here are still incensed with Italian referee Maurizio Mariani's decision to only give a yellow to Bondar for his clothesline attempt on Che Adams.

That is yellow bordering on orange and it's very close to being a red. He's absolutely wiped Adams out there.

  4. HALF-TIME Scotland 0-0 Ukrainepublished at 20:38 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

Scotland have had the best of it, but the sides remain deadlocked.

Che Adams and Stuart Armstrong have had shots saved, while Ukraine winger Mudryk has been lively at the other end.

At least Scotland's performance is miles better than last time they faced Ukraine.

And the visitors can count themselves fortunate to not be a man down after Bondar's rugby challenge on Che Adams.

    Ouch!published at 20:37 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Scotland 0-0 Ukraine

Che Adams is absolutely cleaned out by a scandalous challenge from Bondar as the Scotland striker bears down on goal.

The Ukraine defender is very lucky to only see yellow.

Adams requires a few minutes of treatment, and no wonder. Thankfully, he's fine to continue.

    Scotland 0-0 Ukraine

Scotland just need a bit more composure in the final third.

Scott McTominay has space for a shot on the edge of the box, only to choose a pass that has too much on it to find Ryan Christie.

Great pressing from Scott McTominay as he snaps into a tackle and robs Malinovskyi deep in Ukraine's half.

A quick pass finds John McGinn, who spots the keeper off his line but sends his attempted lob way too high.

Better from Scotland after Patterson's injury disrupted their momentum.

  8. Pinpoint from McKennapublished at 20:24 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Scotland 0-0 Ukraine

Scott McKenna was the only player to have completed 100% of his passes in the opening 30 minutes (21/21).

    Pinpoint.

  9. Mudryk quick to impresspublished at 20:24 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

I'm not joking when I say Mudryk might be the fastest player I've ever watched.

It's genuinely breath-taking when he's in full flight. Could be watching a future superstar here.

That man Mudryk - Ukraine's answer to Wile E Coyote - is off on the gallop again. He zooms past a couple of players, then wins a foul that comes to nothing.

Moments later, he darts into the box but Jack Hendry saves the day with a last-ditch tackle.

Ukraine enjoying a good wee spell just now.

It's a tough game for Hickey to come into at right-back. He'll have seen how quick Mudryk is. All I'd say is that the first time I saw Hickey play, it was in that position for Hearts against Celtic. He was 16 at the time - and he was absolutely brilliant.

A let-off for Scotland as Ukraine dig out a cross on the left to Dovbyk on the six-yard line.

The striker is under pressure from Kieran Tierney, but inexplicably opts to head away from goal rather than trying to test Craig Gordon.

He fails to find a team-mate and Scotland survive.

  13. 'Looks to be Patterson's medial ligament'published at 20:17 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

Patterson is pointing to the inside of his knee and that suggests it's his medial ligament. I've done that before and it's a painful one when the physio tests it. Hopefully it's not too serious.

  14. Patterson forced off injuredpublished at 20:15 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Scotland 0-0 Ukraine

Blow for Scotland as right-back Nathan Patterson is forced off with what appears to be a knee injury.

He is put on a stretcher and taken down the touchline to warm applause.

Aaron Hickey bounds on in his place.

Doesn't look good for Nathan Patterson. He's sat down on the side of the pitch and looks devastated. The stretcher's been called.

You have to feel for the Everton full-back, who has enjoyed an excellent run of game time recently.

Aaron Hickey is the man to come on.

  16. CLOSE!published at 20:12 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

    Scotland 0-0 Ukraine

Scotland are in full flow now.

Callum McGregor pinches possession before a poor Ukraine clearance falls at the feet of Stuart Armstrong, who forces a sprawling save.

Ryan Christie gots the rebound all wrong before the flag is raised to spare his blushes.

Stuart Armstrong retrieves an overhit Kieran Tierney cross and fashions a lovely cross.

Ryan Christie reads it perfectly and times his run to beat the keeper to the ball, but his header sails too high.

  18. Postpublished at 20:07 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

Scotland keep up the pressure and threaten again.

Stuart Armstrong lays the ball back for Nathan Patterson, who sweeps in for John McGinn to glance a header off target.

Ukraine quickly serve notice of their threat on the counter, though, as Mydrak leads the charge before Jack Hendry mops up the danger.

  19. 'Adams has to gamble'published at 20:05 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

Much better from Scotland. It's been too slow so far but that was great play to break the lines. Initially, I'm thinking that Adams has to throw himself at that one too. You've got to gamble in those situations.

    Another promising moment.

Che Adams starts the move, flicking on for Ryan Christie who breaks down the left and drills over a tempting delivery.

Adams is a yard or so away from getting a touch. The goal was gaping too.
