Manchester City striker Erling Haaland was replaced at half-time in the goalless draw at Borussia Dortmund because he had a fever this week, according to City boss Pep Guardiola.
Haaland has scored a record-breaking 22 goals in his first 15 games for City. But at Dortmund he only had 13 touches and one blocked shot in a subdued first half, before being replaced along with Joao Cancelo at the break.
"Erling had a bit of fever before the game, Joao too," Guardiola said.
"He was tired, Joao as well. That's why we changed it. In that period we struggle a lot."
City sealed top spot in their Champions League group with their point in Germany.
They visit Leicester in the Premier League on Saturday at 12:30 BST.
Another eight games in the Champions League tomorrow and they are...
Five teams were already through before this week's fixtures and four more - Benfica, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Paris St-Germain - have joined them tonight.
Six more sides - including Liverpool and Tottenham - could seal their progress tomorrow night with a round of games to spare.
Already qualified: Bayern Munich, Benfica, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, Club Bruges, Manchester City, Napoli, Paris St-Germain, Real Madrid.
Who could qualify tomorrow night: Inter Milan, Liverpool, Marseille, Porto, Sporting CP, Tottenham.

Manchester City
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, says: "In the first half, we realised we made a good build up, played defensively, the same way we have played these years, and every time we lost simple balls. In this country they punish you well in the transitions like no other country in the world.
"We missed some passes. In the first half we had problems with our high pressing because [Niklas] Sule was so down and the distance for Joao [Cancelo] was so big and that's why we corrected things in the second half and played differently.
"It was much much better and more productive and we didn't suffer. In the second half the result was good for us and for them. They defended 5-4-1, striker dropping and they didn't want to push so we created possession and both teams were happy with that.
"We are first in the group again and Dortmund are happy because they will also be in the last 16."

Borussia Dortmund move into the last 16 and will play one of the group winners in the next phase next year.

This it how it looks in Groups E to H after tonight's results.
These are the results from the evening games in the Champions League.
And earlier on, these were the two results...

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, speaking to BT Sport after his side qualified for the last 16: "It is good for us on that side of the game, defensively we were really good and not many sides keep clean sheets against City with the quality they have got.
"To do that is a positive aspect but I think we could have gone for it a bit more, we had some chances to win the game.
"But we have to grateful in the end because they missed a penalty and Greg [Kobel] made a huge save.
"Overall we're happy because we were here to get to the next round and we've done it."
On stopping former team-mate Erling Haaland from scoring: "It is nice to keep all of them City players out, but especially him because we know how dangerous he is.
"I said to him 'it's 1-1 between us now!' But I'm not too satisfied because I haven't scored tonight either!
"But ultimately we're happy because we got the draw and we can continue our journey."

Manchester City
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, speaking to BT Sport, says: "We managed the second half and in the first half we conceded some counter attacks - they are so fast. We suffered as a team, the game on Saturday was so tiring.
"It's what we wanted, top of the group and we will be in the last 16 next time so really good. Dortmund did not want to press high so we adjusted a bit our pressing. In the first half we had problems down the left side. Apparently they thought a draw was good for them and for us as well."
On taking off Erling Haaland and Joao Cancelo at half time, he added: "Erling has had a bit of a fever before the game. Joao had a bit of a kick on his foot, that's why we changed it."
On whether Riyad Mahrez will take the next penalty after missing today, Guardiola says: "We will see what happens. Of course it's a problem - we have missed 24 or 25 penalties, most of them in the Champions League and it's too much.
"I admire the courage to take penalties but this is a problem and we have to improve. These are the little margins in this competition. Last season he scored a lot in important moments, here when we got to the semi-final. I admire the courage but of course we have to improve."

Zahi: I enjoyed my last trip to the dentist more than Dortmund vs City tonight. Snoozefest.
It is no secret of Paris St-Germain's desire to finally win the Champions League.
The first part of the mission has been completed as the French champions secured their place in the knockout stage with a spectacular 7-2 home win over Maccabi Haifa.
Lionel Messi scored two sublime goals, either side of strikes by Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, as PSG led 4-1 at the break.
There was no let-up for the Israeli visitors in the second half as Mbappe added another before an own goal and Carlos Soler strike sealed an emphatic win.
Benfica have joined them in qualifying from Group H - albeit in nervier fashion.
The Portuguese side led 4-1 against Juventus, who fought back but could not find a dramatic equaliser in a 4-3 home win.
It will be the first time since 2014 that Juve will not feature in the Champions League knockout stage.
FT: Dinamo Zagreb 0-4 AC Milan
Rafael Leao is mobbed by his Milan team-mates after scoring his team's second goal in Zagreb
All over in Zagreb, which means confirmation of some more good news for Chelsea.
Dinamo Zagreb's 4-0 defeat by AC Milan means the holders will be plucked from the group winners' pot in the last-16 draw.
Italian champions Milan led 1-0 at half-time thanks to Matteo Gabbia's goal, before Rafael Leao, Olivier Giroud from the penalty spot and an own goal by Robert Ljubicic clinched a dominant win.
Now the Rossoneri know they will join the Blues in progressing from Group E if they don't lose at home to Red Bull Salzburg next week.

Abhi: Guess we are bit spoiled. It is one of the boring performances from City. Unable to breakdown teams without Haaland/KDB is bit worrying though.
FT: RB Leipzig 3-2 Real Madrid
European champions Real Madrid suffered a first defeat of the season as RB Leipzig strengthened their hopes of making the Champions League last 16.
Croatia defender Josko Gvardiol headed the hosts ahead before France forward Christopher Nkunku doubled the lead. Vinicius Jr reduced the deficit but ex-Chelsea forward Timo Werner made sure of a memorable win for RB Leipzig.
Real, who had already qualified for the knockout stage, scored a late second with a penalty from Rodrygo.
With Celtic holding Shakhtar Donetsk in Glasgow in the other game in Group F, second-placed RB Leipzig have nine points, three more than Shakhtar who are in third spot. Shakhtar host RB Leipzig in Poland on 2 November (17:45 BST).

Former Scotland forward on BBC Radio 5 Live
It was really competitive, Dortmund really tried to frustrate Man City and it was a very impressive performance. They offered a real threat to go and win the game in the first half. Man City just couldn't get in behind the defence and they couldn't find the way to open Dortmund up.
Maybe both sides didn't take risks because they knew they didn't have to win the game.
The crowd here is phenomenal. They did not stop singing all game long. It must be an absolute pleasure to play here as a Dortmund player.
That is the most impressive crowd I have seen in terms of getting behind their team and non stop signing. They're still going. Really, really impressive.
FT: Celtic 1-1 Shakhtar Donetsk
Celtic are certain to finish bottom of Group F, therefore failing to drop into the Europa League and there will be no European football at Parkhead in February.
This is how ex-Celtic striker Chris Sutton saw it...
