Things have settled down a little bit. Chelsea looking to calm things down and keep hold of the ball.

Salzburg are defending with numbers behind the ball and are very compact.

Chelsea look dangerous when Sterling or Pulisic just stays wide and they're able to have a few passes and overload Salzburg in those areas.

Talking of showbiz, both gaffers have gone for the black roll-neck and jacket combo. Very smart.

Graham Potter and Matthias Jaissle look like the Last Shadow Puppets did in 2008.

Salzburg have a heck of a home record - unbeaten in their past 40 (FORTY) games here - and are showing why in these early stages.

A neat one-two between Luka Sucic and Noah Okafor sees the former stride forward with purpose.

The Chelsea defence backs off, allowing Sucic to shoot. That's troubling those in Row F more and not Kepa in the Chelsea goal.

We know Kovacic's quality but that is the second occasion that he has allowed his touch to get away from him which is so unlike him.

Salzburg decide to go route one, but that's meat and drink for someone of Thiago Silva's calibre.

Conor Gallagher drops deeper to collect the ball and make something happen for the Blues.

Chelsea's players are very fluid, as Graham Potter's sides always are, in terms of positions.

But a patient move breaks down when Mateo Kovacic loses the ball.

Chelsea look like they're playing in good positions when they are playing in the Salzburg half, they're stretching the pitch really well and it's all natural. But, when they are playing in their own half they look slightly exposed and one misplaced pass is putting them in trouble.

Nothing happening there. Trevoh Chalobah, another Chelsea player who is enjoying life under Graham Potter, is fouled and the pressure is eased on the Blues.

Kepa's renaissance under Graham Potter has been incredible. But he gives the ball away and invites Salzburg to attack his goal.

Noah Okafor's eyes lights up and wins another corner for the home side.

This is an NBA game. Now it's the home side's turn to attack.

They win a corner and Bernardo can't quite get enough contact.

Chelsea need a win to qualify and, like Graham Potter said, they want to win.

That's illustrated by the fast and furious start they've made.

Christian Pulisic looks particularly hungry, making progress down the left and then winning the ball back when his cross is half cleared by Lucas Gourna-Douath.

Ah, it's judged to be a foul by the Chelsea winger.

    Very promising start by Chelsea.

Conor Gallagher, looking to impress in his first Champions League start, tests Philipp Kohn's senses.

All good for the Salzburg keeper.

    Chelsea are almost in!

An interesting choice of defending from Bernardo, who elects to go back to his keeper with a diving header.

Kai Havertz is alert and sniffs the loose ball, but is just beaten to the ball by Philipp Kohn.

Excellent goalkeeping but it comes at a price as he takes a whack in the process.

Thankfully he is fine. And, also very importantly, stopped Chelsea taking an early lead.

The home side, backed by a heck of a noise, enjoy an early spell of possession. But Amar Dedić wastes it by lumping a ball out for a goal-kick. Crossed wires.

Any team coming to Salzburg knows they have to be at their best and that the fans are up for it. This is going to be a difficult game for Chelsea, especially to quieten the crowd early on. It will be huge for Salzburg if they can take the game to Chelsea and win.
