    Spurs 0-1 Sporting

Sebastian Coates, like a sort of Sporting Shane Duffy, is the target from every corner and he heads this one wide.

    Spurs are in trouble here.

    Ajax 0-0 Liverpool

That shot by Mo Salah came in the 29th minute. It was Liverpool's first attempt in the game.

I expected an open and entertaining game but it has been anything but really.

England's Callum Hudson-Odoi has scored his first goal since January, to put Bayer Leverkusen 2-1 up at Atletico Madrid.

    Atleti out as things stand.

First groans of impatience around the stadium as Spurs attempt to recover from that stunning blow from Marcus Edwards. Supporters are on edge and Sporting are happy to play on the nerves around here.

    Ajax 0-0 Liverpool

Better from Liverpool as Andy Robertson is picked out on the left by a long ball. The full-back volleys back into the middle of the box where Mo Salah's shoots first time but his effort hits a defender.

There's a speed to Sporting's passing in the middle of the park. Spurs look the complete opposite, it's all too slow. They look pretty clueless, there is no pattern to their play. They haven't been able to play through Sporting. This start from Tottenham has surprised me.

No real response to going behind from Spurs. They have a corner cleared. And now a cross is cleared.

Randal Kolo Muani has put Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 up against Marseille. We'll see what that does to the table in a minute.

Conte won't be able to rest his star players in the next match if it stays like this.

Sporting had two really good opportunities before the goal, Coates and Paulinho, so they could be even further ahead. Tottenham haven't threatened at all, it's been really comfortable for Sporting.

Marcus Edwards is the second player from England to score a Champions League goal against Spurs, after Raheem Sterling for Manchester City on 17 April 2019.

Bad touch by Andy Robertson as he carelessly mis-controls to let the ball run out of play.

Liverpool need to be better when they are on the ball, there's been a couple of lapses in concentration.

What a story, what a goal. Blistering pace from Edwards to get away from Hojbjerg in the middle of the park. He's 22 yards out and thinks why not. It sails past Lloris. It's a brilliant strike. Spurs back off and let him shoot and he finds the back of the net. Spurs have got real work to do.

    Alex Howell

Former Spurs player Marcus Edwards has just silenced the home crowd. He broke through a tackle and drilled the ball across the grass into the bottom corner, a great strike. The Sporting bench sprinted towards the touchline to celebrate.

Marcus Edwards very much celebrated that goal too. He was at Spurs from 2006 until 2019.
