  1. 'We have to take the game to them' - Goodwinpublished at 19:36 British Summer Time 19 October 2022

    Aberdeen v Partick Thistle (19:45)

Aberdeen manager Jim Goodwin has been talking to BBC Sportsound: "It's a different challenge to what we faced on Sunday. Hearts were very good on the day, we had to fight hard for the victory.

"Tonight I'd imagine we'll have more possession, and we're going to have to find a way to break Partick Thistle down. That said, knowing Ian McCall and the way he sets his teams up, he won't be coming here to park the bus. They tend to have a go, because they've got nothing to lose.

"I've been there myself where you are the underdog. There's no level of expectation, there's no pressure. They have got some very good experienced players, boys who have played in the Premiership before. They certainly wont be overawed by the occasion.

"We've given them the utmost respect. They're flying high in the Championship, scoring plenty of goals. We know the dangers they possess, but us being the home team, we have to come flying out of the traps and take the game to them."

    Reo Hatate

Sweet footwork from Reo Hatate and Celtic are out of sight.

Liel Abada drills a cross in from the right and Hatate shows good strength to gather it in the six yard box and in the blink of an eye he rolls the ball away from Liam Kelly with his studs and pokes it home with the other foot.

I wonder about Haksabanovic on the left. The manager wants him to stay wide and he's confined to that position. Paul McGinn knows exactly where he is every time and he closes him down, so he's been less effective.

Kemar Roofe is also named on the bench, and could make his first Rangers appearance of the season.

Gary Bowyer makes three changes to the Dundee side that beat fellow title chasers Ayr United 2-1 at the weekend.

Zak Rudden and Cillian Sheridan drop out - both were replaced at half-time on Saturday - alongside Paul McMullan. On loan Wimbledon striker Zach Robinson comes in, with Dundee youngsters Lyall Cameron and Josh Mulligan also named in the starting eleven.

  15. HALF-TIME Motherwell 0-1 Celticpublished at 19:03 British Summer Time 19 October 2022

Celtic finally have the lead, thanks to Liel Abada's goal just before the break.

Before that, Kyogo Furuhashi could have had a hat-trick on his own for Celtic. The Japanese striker has hit the bar, put a gilt-edged chance wide, and was denied from close range by goalkeeper Liam Kelly.

Motherwell have posed a threat too, with Stuart McKinstry missing a massive chance from about 10 yards out. The home side have it all to do now, though.
