This picture suggests Stuart McKinstry's miss is even worse than I thought, with the shot skewed way off target...
Motherwell 0-0 Celtic
Another close range opportunity for Kyogo and Liam Kelly is off his line in a flash to make an impressive stop with his outstretched leg.
Motherwell 0-0 Celtic
Oh dear. Stuart McKinstry makes a horrible mess of a golden chance for Motherwell.
Connor Shields gets in the way of a loose pass from Mortiz Jenz then, with the defender dithering, cuts the ball across from the byeline.
McKinstry has pretty much the whole goal to aim for from 10 yards and he blazes over under no pressure at all!
Motherwell 0-0 Celtic
Aaron Mooy dinks a cute pass through a narrow gap for Greg Taylor to run on to in the Motherwell penalty box but the Celtic full-back has his cut-back intercepted when it looked like a shot might have been the better option.

Quote MessageA couple of times, Kyogo has come off the back of the centre-halves and into space. He had all the time in the world to get his shot away. As soon as he opens up, he becomes a real threat.
Motherwell 0-0 Celtic
Liam Kelly is busy again, getting down to block a low, sweeping shot from Aaron Mooy.
Motherwell 0-0 Celtic
Kyogo with a turn and hit around 22 yards out. Liam Kelly is grasping at fresh air as the shot cannons off the crossbar and bounces back down on the line.
Liel Abada can't get any power on his follow-up header, allowing Kelly to spring up and gather the ball.

Quote MessageI worked with McKinstry in the academy, and you can see the quality he has. He deserved his move to Leeds. He shown how direct he is, how he likes to get forward. He'll take confidence from that, he knows there's opportunities to be had.
Motherwell 0-0 Celtic
Suddenly, the home side are short at the back and Liel Abada does find Kyogo in front of goal this time. It looks like a certain goal but the Celtic striker side-foots wide from inside the six yard box.
Motherwell 0-0 Celtic
Motherwell attack in numbers and Stuart McKinstry does well to dip a shoulder and cut in from the left. He goes past two men but Matt O'Riley is there to block when he finally elects to let fly.

Quote MessageThe rotations of the front three of Celtic are causing a lot of problems. It was good defending from Motherwell to clear in the end but it shows you the quality of Celtic on the ball.
Motherwell 0-0 Celtic
A Liel Abada pass is just out of reach for Kyogo, with Sead Haksabanovic picking up the scraps and having his shot blocked. Matt O'Riley then has a go with a low dig and it's hoofed away by defender Ricki Lamie.
Motherwell 0-0 Celtic
The home side have almost everyone back, as Celtic start to build up a head of steam.
Motherwell 0-0 Celtic
Now Celtic come charging forward and Kyogo throws himself at a low delivery from Greg Taylor, diverting the ball high over the target.
Motherwell 0-0 Celtic
A big gap opens for Callum Slattery to attack on the left but the Motherwell midfielder looks a little uncertain as he progresses and then overhits his cross.

And away we go at Fir Park...
Motherwell v Celtic (18:15)
These two have already played each other this month, with Celtic squeezing home 2-1 on league duty in Glasgow.
Last season it was a bit more straightforward for Celtic, who won all four Premiership meetings with an aggregate score of 13-0.
The visitors are looking for a 14th successive victory against Motherwell, who last got a win in this fixture back in 2013.
Reo Hatate (centre) was on target in Celtic's recent win over Motherwell
Motherwell v Celtic (18:15)
Motherwell have lost four of their last five Premiership outings. Against Rangers on Sunday, they adopted a stuffy approach and didn't have one touch in the opposition penalty area in a drab first half.
The hosts didn't come out of their shell until they were 2-0 down but, despite throwing bodies forward, couldn't create a good chance to equalise after Stuart McKinstry's free-kick.

Quote MessageMotherwell have had a good consistency in defence so far this season and Liam Kelly is a great goalkeeper. That will give them confidence
