The referee was not interested at all but Garcia was absolutely beside herself - she thought it was handball.

I'm not convinced - Alex Greenwood was already on the floor and when something bounces up at you, whether or not it hits your hand, for me it's not a penalty.

    Tottenham 0-0 West Ham

It's been a bit like pinball in the West Ham penalty are at times. Drew Spence and Cho So-hyun have both seen efforts blocked.

The visitors are doing just enough to hold Spurs at bay at present.

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

    The Manchester derby finishes all-square.

A fair result? I would say so.

It is a result that doesn't do either team much good. Whether it does much harm will become clear in the next six months.

    Oh my!

Ellie Roebuck gives the ball away with a really sloppy pass - it isn't too dissimilar to the one in England's friendly against Norway in November.

A cross from the left is met by Lucia Garcia, but Alex Greenwood does superbly to block the effort.

There are cries for handball by United, but, rightly, nothing is given.

Poor from Roebuck. Brilliant from Greenwood.

    Tottenham 0-0 West Ham

Both Tottenham and West Ham are looking to return to winning ways in this London derby.

And so far Rehanne Skinner's have made most of the running. A victory today would see them draw level on points with the Hammers, who are currently in sixth, one place above them in the table.

Plus a win in the final round WSL fixtures before the winter break is a must really if either of these sides wants to push themselves up towards the top four teams.

That was all teed up for an Ella Toone special, 16 yards out.

Well defended by City but great breakaway from United.

Jennifer Wilkinson: This football match on BBC 1 is BRILLIANT. Fast pace, goals, amazing passing, and not a dive in sight. Man City v Man United derby in the women’s league. Best match I’ve watched in ages.

    Time for a winner?

With the game opening up and gaps appearing, you want to take advantage of the counter.

Hayley Raso is brilliant at that. Punt a long ball forward and she'll chase. Can either side find a winner?

Excellent play from Cho So-hyun who gets in down the right but sees her cross blocked after she had skipped away from West Ham keeper Mackenzie Arnold.

The South Korea midfielder moved to Spurs permanently from the Hammers in the summer of 2021.

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

    United's turn to break now!

A cross is only half cleared and it falls for Ella Toone on the edge of the box.

I'm expecting the net to burst, but she scuffs it and Laura Coombs is able to clear.

I don't want this to end. It's a brilliant game.

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

    A real scramble!

Hayley Raso does really well to pinch the ball back from Hannah Blundell.

United can't clear her ball into the ball and Lauren Hemp, and then Bunny Shaw, try to head towards goal.

A foul is eventually given when Shaw catches a defender as she looks to volley home.

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

    Rachel Brown-Finnis
    Ex-England goalkeeper on BBC One

Brilliant movement from Bunny Shaw. Castellanos can see who she's aiming for - it's Shaw all day, who got between the left-back and centre-half.

She's just falling backward as she's aiming the header and can't get the power on it. That's two chances now for Shaw and United look tired defensively.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 85 mins

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

    Ah, here's a City change.

Chloe Kelly, who got the assist for the equaliser, is replaced by Hayley Raso.

The Australian is rapid. Be warned, United.

    Tottenham 0-0 West Ham

This game hasn't really sparked into life just yet.

A dipping Eveliina Summanen effort is about all both sides have to show for efforts on goal but Tottenham's Finnish midfielder just put a little bit too much on her shot and saw it go over.

It was brilliant to arrive here and see people steaming in: families and friends, a real festive atmosphere of reds and blues together.

    It's a really open game.

    Another chance for United.

Alessia Russo is replaced by Lucia Garcia.

We are still yet to see City turn to their bench.

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

    Who would a draw favour?

It could leave United five points behind Chelsea come the end of Sunday, and potentially out of the title race.

But their aim this season is surely Champions League football, and they would maintain a cushion on their city rivals.

  19. Postpublished at 82 mins

    Man City 1-1 Man Utd

    Another attack and another header!

Bunny Shaw gets in between Millie Turner and Hannah Blundell at the back post, but falling backwards her header is easily gathered by Mary Earps.

That is two chances for Shaw, though. United probably shouldn't give her a third...

We said at the end of the first half we wanted more spark.

I think that spark has arrived.
