Steve in Milan: Ten Hag praises his team for two performances against Cypriot opposition where they needed late goals in what should have been comfortable victories. Seen enough of Ten Hag to be convinced he is no upgrade.
Sulaimon Adelekan: We can't talk about Manchester United's victory yesterday without mentioning [Omonia keeper] Francis Uzoho's brilliant performance. A Manchester United boyhood fan almost denied them at Old Trafford.
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe may well have been interested to hear the views of sporting director Dan Ashworth, who admits the club must be open to selling players in order to comply with spending restrictions.
The Magpies have spent more than £200m on players since the Saudi Arabia-backed £305m takeover last year.
But ex-Football Association technical director Ashworth - who began his Newcastle role in May - says such an outlay on signings is "unsustainable".
"You can't keep doing that every year," said Ashworth.

Two police officers required hospital treatment following trouble at West Ham’s Europa Conference League match with Anderlecht at the London Stadium last night.
One of the officers has a suspected broken wrist and the second received stitches for a head injury.
Two other officers were struck on the head by missiles.
Chairs and flares were thrown by Anderlecht fans, with reinforcements called in to restore order as the game entered its final stages.
Anderlecht officials apologised for the trouble after the game.
Thirteen people were arrested, including one for the assault on the officer who suffered the suspected broken wrist.
Those are the top lines from Eddie Howe's news conference. We will hear more from the Newcastle manager soon, but first an update on that crowd trouble at West Ham v Anderlecht last night.

More from Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe on Brazil midfielder Bruno Guimarães following links with a move to Real Madrid: "We desperately want Bruno to be happy and see a long-term vision here.
"First and foremost, we have to get the team in a good place and build positively. As long as a player can see progression we can offer something to keep everyone here.
"What I can say is that he's done unbelievably well. He has fitted in so well and epitomised the drive and team spirit. Fans have taken to him so well."

While we are talking Drake, let's hear your favourite sporting curse.
Let's keep it light.
I am going early and saying that Barry Fry and his curse at Birmingham City, external is my favourite, but there are many more legends, myths and old wives' tales to keep up going on a busy Friday.
Get in touch in the usual way...
Now then, you would imagine Barcelona had been made aware of the now legendary curse of Drake.
His ability to nobble sports stars and teams by mere association became a social media phenomenon.
If you are unaware of the back story - have a read of this.
Clearly the Nou Camp officials are not the superstitious types...
Barcelona will celebrate Drake becoming the first artist to surpass 50 billion streams on Spotify by wearing a special shirt against Real Madrid on Sunday.
The La Liga giants are sponsored by Spotify but will replace the streaming service's logo with the OVO owl logo of the Canadian rapper for El Clasico.
It is part of Barcelona and Spotify's strategic aim to "bring football and music together".
"This doesn't feel real but it is," Drake said on Instagram., external
(And yes, it does look like Sheffield Wednesday's badge!)

Fulham v Bournemouth (Sat, 15:00 BST)
Bournemouth
Finally, Bournemouth caretaker manager Gary O'Neil on Saturday's opponents Fulham: "They're a really good side. They have a real defined way of playing and don’t move from it very often.
"Fulham have added some quality to their squad, as teams do when get promoted. They’ll have improved. Hopefully, we’ve made improvements as well so it should be a good game.
"They have big strengths we’ll need to prepare for - because they do what they do so often, they're very good at it. Just because you know what they do doesn’t mean it’s easy to stop."
On Fulham's top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic: "We will go through the usual preparation - cover what we think needs to be covered. The boys are in good place and I know they’re ready to go."
On last season's matches against Fulham in the Championship, which both ended 1-1: "They were good games last year. Everyone sat watching it and I had loads of messages afterwards about how high the level was for a Championship game.
"Obviously, it turned out those two teams were the best in the division - they were good results for us as we had injury issues and changes. But both sides have moved on from that now and are in a slightly different place."
Fulham v Bournemouth (Sat, 15:00 BST)
Bournemouth
More from Bournemouth caretaker manager Gary O'Neil on coming from behind to beat Leicester in their last match: "There’s loads of reasons. It was harsh on us to be behind to Leicester. The first part of coming back is character and mentality, which the boys obviously have. They’ve shown that.
"The work we do during the week is to prepare for different situations that might arise. Not many of the changes we make are off-the-cuff. The boys are prepared.
"But the main factor is their resilience and response to different situations. Hopefully, we don’t have to keep coming back from behind.
"In the Premier League, generally the first team to score doesn’t end up losing."
Fulham v Bournemouth (Sat, 15:00 BST)
Bournemouth
Bournemouth caretaker manager Gary O'Neil speaking ahead of Saturday's Premier League match at Fulham: "Lloyd Kelly wont make it and David Brooks is still recovering. Apart from that, everyone is fit and well."
O'Neil also said Joe Rothwell could make his first competitive appearance for Bournemouth since his summer move from Blackburn on a free transfer.
Fulham v Bournemouth (Sat, 15:00 BST)
Bournemouth
Bournemouth caretaker manager Gary O'Neil on his team's lack of goals - they have scored just eight in the Premier League this season: "It doesn’t seem to be on my mind as much as it’s on the media’s. I understand the make-up of the Premier League and what it looks like as a newly-promoted team.
"Chances are they are going to be difficult to create at this level. I watch top teams go to some places and struggle. It's the nature of being up against the best defenders in the world, they are so well organised. We work hard on it every day but have a realistic outlook on it. Against Brentford we didn’t create as much as we should, against Leicester we created more. There are reasons for both, but hopefully we manage to trouble Fulham."
On strengthening Bournemouth's defence: "We haven't focused on anything specific - we have worked hard on all of it. I never see the game like that. Sometimes one [of attack/defence] shows up one day because of the way the game goes, but the game-plan and what we work on throughout the week is always to work on both. We try to trouble the opposition and stop them troubling us."
Fulham v Bournemouth (Sat, 15:00 BST)
Bournemouth
Bournemouth caretaker manager Gary O'Neil on his contact with the club's potential new owner Bill Foley: "Conversations in the changing room are always private, but just a 'well done' really. These are potentially exciting times for the club. My role is to remain purely focused on the most important thing at the football club and that is results."
