  1. HALF-TIMEpublished at 45+1 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

Chelsea deal with the Arsenal corner and that is the break.

Gabriel Jesus had the golden opportunity in that half, but headed wide to continue his barren spell in front of goal.

Lots of huff and puff, but not enough quality.

  2. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

Gabriel Martinelli does really well to get in down the left but just as he is about to cross a Chelsea boot comes out. We'll have an Arsenal corner to end the half...

  3. Postpublished at 44 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

Both teams now struggling for that final bit of quality as they come forward.

Arsenal have got Oleksandr Zinchenko into a couple of great positions on the left but his delivery has been poor. Bit of rustiness?

  4. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

    Mikel Arteta is spitting feathers.

He is furious that the tackle on Saka was not given a foul.

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 42 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

There's a little battle brewing between Bukayo Saka and Marc Cucurella. The latter stops the former breaking, sending the Arsenal man to the ground. No free-kick.

Saka gets to his feet, chases down Cucurella and clatters him. That is a foul and a yellow card.

  6. Postpublished at 41 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

Mason Mount is trying his best to be the driving force for Chelsea. He is almost in with a forceful run but Gabriel stands tall to tackle and clear.

  7. Postpublished at 40 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

Arsenal continue to seek out Gabriel Jesus as he peels out to the left side of the pitch. He takes a touch but his curling cross takes a big deflection and loops straight to Edouard Mendy.

  8. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

It's all a bit scrappy at times. This is largely because Chelsea are struggling to get the ball out of defence at times in the face of the Arsenal press.

  9. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

When Kai Havertz isn't picking the wrong option he's executing the right one badly.

He fires a cross way too hard at Mason Mount, giving the England player no chance of controlling it. It was a decent opening for Chelsea too.

Chris Darlington: The EPL needs an Arsenal victory First,as karma for sacking a wonderful staff member in Tuchel. Secondly, to keep city at bay,for now, at least.

Come on now Dave, I've been doing this gig for years. There's definitely been more laughable stuff in here, mainly from me.

Dave Payn: Anyone who has watched Arsenal this season will never accuse them of going 'all Tony Pulis/Stoke'. That is the most laughable comment I've ever seen on these text comms.

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

    Almost!

Raheem Sterling carries the ball down the Chelsea right before finding Kai Havertz, who has broken through the Arsenal defence. His low pull-back is aimed towards Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but Aaron Ramsdale dives to get there first.

  14. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

    Chelsea win their first corner.

It is met by Thiago Silva but he has plenty of players around him and can only head harmlessly over the bar.

  15. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

Oh, good stretching interception from William Saliba.

    Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was almost in.

There's more home frustration soon after as Martin Odegaard is felled by what the Chelsea fans feel is a fair tackle but the ref does not.

  16. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

Should be 1-0 to the Arsenal!

Gabriel Jesus has no goals in his last eight games, but he absolutely should end that run here.

Gabriel Martinelli's chipped cross finds him in acres of space behind the Chelsea defence but he conspires to dive in and head wide with just Mendy to beat.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 27 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

Oh, this is naughty. Or is it just poor timing?

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dives in to try and tackle Ben White but catches the defender on the boot.

Mikel Arteta is furious. The ref responds with a yellow for the Chelsea forward.

Fqiren: Is it just me, or have Arsenal secretly gone all Tony Pulis/Stoke lately with Thomas Partey taking long throws into the box at every possible opportunity. Route one football the best way to remain number one perhaps?

  19. Postpublished at 27 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

Well, not really a chance in the end.

Marc Cucurella swings the ball in and it is glanced to Trevor Chalobah on the far side of the box. His chipped ball back in is soft and easy for the Gunners to clear.

  20. Postpublished at 25 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

Chelsea free-kick. In a spot from which they can swing the ball into the box on the left. Chance incoming.
