Andy Rudd: Another day, another decision leaving you scratching your head, 3 very similar incidents. Fulham pen yesterday, Forest no pen and no pen today. Inconsistency is mad. Maybe just replace officials with a game show wheel, it seems equally random.

Joe Wedgwood: Emery has the bizarre niche of only being good at teams w/ "villa" in their name. Aston Villa, Villarreal, Sevilla. So he's basically out of options after this job. Does Port Vale count?

Sam Johnson: Spurs were outplayed by Chelsea, were beaten comfortably by Newcastle, Arsenal and United and being walked over by a Liverpool team dwindling in 10th in the Prem - we’ve beaten Brighton and Fulham in the top half, not good enough. Poch In?

Wow! How has that not gone in? Brilliant pull back from Sessegnon who cuts it back for Perisic but it strikes Allison's bar.

The only problem for Spurs is that the ball hasn't fallen to the main man Harry Kane's feet. I'm sure once it does, he will make no mistake.

Johnny Bowe: Conte in or out?

Ruz: Conte should resign. There's no point having a decent coach if the players keep gifting the opposition goals. Spurs shooting themselves in the foot again.

You don't get away with that with any Premier League forward around.

It was an individual error, I don't think we need to make too much of it. It was one of those things that Eric Dier has probably done 100 times over and never got wrong. This time at the biggest moment, unfortunately it went wrong for the young man.

At this moment, it's all about character and putting that to bed. He will try to put things right for his team.

Incredible [boos from the Tottenham fans at half time]. It doesn't help anyone, getting booed off. The players won't want to play at home, they'll look forward to playing away. When your home fans aren't supporting you, they're boing you.

Right now, 2-0 down at home, you need your fans. We've seen it with Nottingham Forest, winning, losing, drawing, their fans are behind them and that's what Spurs need now.

    HT: Tottenham 0-2 Liverpool

Boos from the home fans as the first half ends. Liverpool lead 2-0 thanks to two goals from Mohamed Salah.

The first ended a move involving Andy Robertson and Darwin Nunez, the second jumping on a poor header from Eric Dier and lifting a finish over Hugo Lloris.

Spurs have had an Ivan Perisic header pushed on to the post by Alisson but the hosts have it all to do in the second half.
