  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 59 mins

    Sheff Utd 2-2 Burnley

    First sub of the day.

Burnley take off Samuel Bastien and bring on Johann Berg Gudmundsson.

Bastien hadn't had a huge impact in the game it has to be said.

  2. Postpublished at 58 mins

    Sheff Utd 2-2 Burnley

Burnley goalkeeper Arijanet Muric is going to have nightmares about these Jack Robinson long throws.

He bundles one over his crossbar under pressure from John Egan for a corner.

The keeper then makes a fine save from the resultant set-piece and Iliman Ndiaye's delight at putting the rebound in the net is short-lived as the flag is up for offside.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 53 mins

    Sheff Utd 2-2 Burnley

Josh Cullen catches Blades defender Anel Ahmedhodzic on the halfway line.

The home fans want a red but the referee says it a yellow.

    Right shout for my money.

  4. Postpublished at 51 mins

    Sheff Utd 2-2 Burnley

Eight for the season for Oli McBurnie after almost a year without a goal.

The Sheffield United striker is having a superb season and looks a real menace again today.

Burnley have struggled with these long throws and set-plays, and they've probably been Sheffield United's biggest threat.

We did say this was nowhere near over, and we've been proven right.

    Well, that was quick!

Scotland international Oli McBurnie can not stop scoring.

A cross is swung in by Jack Robinson and when Anel Ahmedhodzic heads it back across goal he is the one who gambles and gets himself in a great position to head home from close range.

    Game on!

Can the home side turn it around or are the league leading Clarets about to go nine points clear of the Blades?

    Bring it on.

I asked you pre-match who you thought would finished higher in the table out of these pair.

Votes are still trickling in and it's currently 397 for the Clarets and 165 for the Blades.

If this match finishes as it is, league leaders Burnley will be nine-points clear of Sheffield United.

We'd love to hear your more considered thoughts on this game and all other EFL matters though.

    HT: Sheff Utd 1-2 Burnley

First 20 minutes I did feel both sides were feeling each other out, it didn't come to life.

Once that first goal went in the shackles came off for both sides.

Sheffield United have had some really good bits of play, Burnley have come back at them.

I'd have said a draw was fair going into half-time, but it was a bad mistake from Jack Robinson and Manuel Benson took advantage.

What a game we have on our hands here.

The away side took the lead when Jack Robinson deflected Manuel Benson's effort into the back of his own net.

The Blades fought back through Iliman Ndiaye's close range finish and then saw Taylor Harwood-Bellis clear Oli McBurnie's goalbound effort off the goalline.

Moments later the Clarets retook the lead when Robinson's day went from bad to worse as he was caught dithering in possession 25 yards from his own goal and Benson nicked it off him before slotting home.

The league leaders nine points clear of the third-placed Blades as it stands.

    And breathe!

  11. 'Give Benson the bubbly right now'published at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2022

    Sheff Utd 1-2 Burnley

    Glen Little
Former Burnley and Sheff Utd winger on BBC Radio Lancashire

If anyone deserves it in this first half, it's him - what a game Manuel Benson is having.

I thought he could pass it, Nathan Tella probably has an open goal - but the form and confidence he's in he says 'no I'm going myself'.

It's a lovely finish - I gave him man of the match after 30 minutes, you might as well give him the bottle of bubbly right now.

  12. goal

    Manuel Benson (45 mins)

    Oh my.

Sheffield United look to build up from the back but Jack Robinson dallies on the ball and Manuel Benson picks his pocket.

The in-form Belgian doesn't need a second invitation and curls a lovely finish into the bottom corner with his left foot.

The Clarets re-take the lead at a crucial moment.

    OFF THE LINE!

A cross is half-cleared away by the Burnley defence and Jack Robinson smashes the loose ball at goal.

It's not a great strike but Oli McBurnie reacts brilliantly to turn it towards the goal.

It's flying in before Taylor Harwood-Bellis shows great reactions to clear it off the line.

    Vincent KompanyImage source, PA Media

Burnley gaffer Vincent Kompany has only seen his side lose once in the league since he took charge in the summer.

He said this was the "toughest test" they could have had today and it's shaping up like that so far.

  15. Postpublished at 40 mins

    Sheff Utd 1-1 Burnley

Sheffield United get the press on and win a throw-in high up the pitch.

Jack Robinson hurls it right into the mixer again and it goes over everyone and out for a goal-kick.

Could someone have gambled on that at the back stick?

  16. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Sheff Utd 1-1 Burnley

Without Jay Rodriguez up there Burnley maybe do lack a bit of a physical presence through the middle at the top of the pitch.

However, they're absolutely flooding men forward when they get the chance and asking the home side all sorts of questions.

  17. Benson man of the match already?published at 13:08 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2022

    Sheff Utd 1-1 Burnley

    Glen Little
Former Burnley and Sheff Utd winger on BBC Radio Lancashire

Can you give a man of the match after 35 minutes?

Once in my career we played Norwich at home and they gave it to me after 30 minutes.

Burnley's Manuel Benson, I think he could be the same here.

  18. Postpublished at 13:05 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2022

I just wrote repost instead of riposte ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

  19. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 33 mins

    Sheff Utd 1-1 Burnley

It's so good when you build up a game to be a cracker and then it actually is.

Both teams are going at this full throttle.

Ian Maatsen's fierce strike from the edge of the area kisses the crossbar on its way over the crossbar as the away side look for an immediate riposte to that Blades leveller.
