    Rotherham 1-2 Bristol City

Brooke Norton-Cuffy has been at the heart of much of Rotherham's attacking play today.

The Arsenal loanee slides in Ben Wiles but his shot is turned around the post by Bristol City goalkeeper Max O'Leary.

    All over at Ewood Park.

Injury-hit Preston move up to fourth courtesy of a thumping Lancashire derby win over an off the pace Blackburn side.

Blackburn had their work cut out having lost Callum Brittain in the first few minutes, but Ched Evans' double capped off a stylish Preston performance.

Blackburn, however, have another derby day to forget having lost 3-0 to Burnley before the World Cup break.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:52 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2022

    Blackburn 1-4 Preston

Daniel Johnson goes into the book for taking too long to come off as he's substituted by Preston.

Just a matter of seconds left here.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:52 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2022

    Blackburn 1-4 Preston

Mikey O'Neill and Noah Mawene come on for Preston as they make a very late double change.

Daniel Johnson and Ben Woodburn come off.

Conor Chaplin has his second of the afternoon and 10th of the season and Ipswich are back in front against Peterborough.

The pressure had been building before Chaplin's fierce volley nearly took the roof off a packed Portman Road following a corner just before the hour.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:50 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2022

    Blackburn 1-4 Preston

Three additional minutes at Ewood Park. The snow is really coming down now.

Jacob Slater comes on for Alvaro Fernandez in another late Preston change.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:47 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2022

    Rotherham 1-2 Bristol City

A win today for Bristol City would be their first away at Rotherham since November 1995.

They'll have to see it out without skipper Andi Weimann though, as the Austrian is forced off with a knock and Mark Sykes takes his place.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:45 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2022

    Blackburn 1-4 Preston

    Preston make a change.

Finlay Cross-Adair comes on in place of Ched Evans.

    Just over five minutes remain.

  9. Postpublished at 13:42 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2022

    Blackburn 1-4 Preston

Ryan Hedges goes down in the box having worked onto Bradley Dack's through ball.

He has a coming together with Alvaro Fernandez but referee Josh Smith waves away his calls for a penalty.

Replays show there wasn't a great deal in it.

  10. Postpublished at 13:40 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2022

    Blackburn 1-4 Preston

Just the seven goals conceded in their past two games now for Blackburn.

That's done their goal difference no favours. As it stands they're third in the Championship, with -1 goal difference.

Sheffield United (16) and Burnley (17) above them makes that all the more stark.

Meanwhile, Preston are heading fourth and a place below Rovers as it stands.

  11. Second halfpublished at 13:37 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2022

    Rotherham 1-2 Bristol City

    We're back under way.

Can Bristol City hold out for what would be just a third away win of the campaign?

  12. Postpublished at 13:36 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2022

    Blackburn 1-4 Preston

Tyler Morton sends a Blackburn corner into the Preston box but it's headed away by Ched Evans.

Morton swings another cross into the box but it sails out for a goal kick.

  13. Postpublished at 13:35 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2022

    Blackburn 1-4 Preston

Bradley Dack pings a ball into the Preston box as he looks to open this game up a bit.

But the Blackburn forward sends his delivery straight into the hands of Preston keeper Freddie Woodman.

  14. Postpublished at 13:31 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2022

    Blackburn 1-4 Preston

Bit of a lull in proceedings after all that excitement just now.

The snow is coming down as heavy as I've seen it at Ewood Park today.

Alvaro Fernandez goes for goal from a tight angle for Preston but he drills a low shot well wide of the target.

  15. Postpublished at 13:29 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2022

    Blackburn 1-4 Preston

Has the World Cup hiatus actually harmed Blackburn more than helped?

For much of the 70 minutes so far today, they've looked off the pace.

On the other hand, Preston look well drilled, organised and confident.

    Blackburn 1-4 Preston

It's worth pointing out, if you're just joining us, that Preston are currently 4-1 up against Blackburn having come into this game with an injury affected squad and having made five changes.

Whatever hope Blackburn had from Bradley Dack's goal looks surely gone having conceded twice in two minutes.

Just over 20 minutes of time remain. The snow's not stopped either. It's a miserable afternoon for Rovers.

  17. goal

GOAL: Blackburn 1-4 Prestonpublished at 13:24 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2022

    Ben Whiteman (65 mins)

    What is happening here?!

Blackburn have collapsed. Preston are in raptures.

Daniel Johnson puts in a cheeky short ball to Ben Whiteman on the edge of the Blackburn box and Whiteman fires a low shot which picks up a deflection and bounces over Rovers keeper Thomas Kaminski go to in.

Blackburn fans are now heading for an early exit from Ewood Park. This is surely two back-to-back defeats and back-to-back Lancashire derby defeats no less.

  18. goal

GOAL: Blackburn 1-3 Prestonpublished at 13:22 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2022

    Ched Evans (63 mins)

    Ched EvansImage source, Getty Images

Ched Evans gets his second of the afternoon and Preston retain their two-goal advantage over Blackburn!

It comes out of nowhere, too. Greg Cunningham plays a fabulous ball into the box and Evans rises high to head low into the bottom corner, thwarting a diving Thomas Kaminski.

This is surely game over. Blackburn have it all to do to fight back here.

  19. League One half-time updatepublished at 13:21 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2022

    #bbcefl

    • Conor Chaplin's opener for Ipswich has been cancelled-out by Peterborough's Frankie Kent's header just after the half-hour so all to play for in the second half at Portman Road.
    • It's also 1-1 at The New Meadow where Rob Street put hosts Shrewsbury infront within two minutes, only for Bolton hot-shot Dion Charles to level with his eighth goal of the season around 10 minutes later.

Entertaining stuff in South Yorkshire, although I feel like both managers, who were centre-backs in their playing days, will have a few words about the defending on show at the break.

The away side took the lead when Wes Harding put the ball into his own goal from a Nahki Wells centre but the Millers levelled through Chiedeozie Ogbene's header.

The away side quickly re-took the lead when Joe Wiiams bundled over the line from close range.

There have been plenty of chances for both sides aside from the goals so there could be a lot more to come from this one.
