Here's more from the Argentina camp.

Forward Lautaro Martinez said their next game against Mexico "will be like a final for us".

"It is a match that could define our fate in this World Cup," Martinez told a news conference.

"It was a heavy blow to our morale (losing to Saudi Arabia) but we are a strong group that is very united.

"We need to stay calm, recover and think about what's coming. What's coming is Mexico, so we have to focus on getting the win no matter what."

While Brazil are struggling with ankle injuries, there's good news for Argentina's star player.

Argentina face Mexico tomorrow in a crunch match after they suffered one of the biggest upsets in World Cup history when they lost to Saudi Arabia in their first game.

Coach Lionel Scaloni said that Lionel Messi is fit and ready to play despite reports of a possible ankle injury and that he believes his squad has what it take to rebound from their opening defeat.

"When you are knocked out you have to get up, and my players are more than capable of doing so," Scaloni told a news conference.

"We will not change the way we play because of the loss to Saudi Arabia. I can make a change or two in the selection but not in our system, that is not in question.

"This group will leave everything they've got on the pitch to recover from that heavy blow."

Brazil face Switzerland in their second Group G game on Monday (16:00 GMT), before playing Cameroon next Friday (19:00 BST).

Wales captain Gareth Bale has said qualifying for the knockout stages of the World Cup "will be difficult" after Friday's 2-0 defeat by Iran.

Robert Page's side have one point from two games and must beat England to stand any chance of progressing.

Stoppage-time goals by Roozbeh Cheshmi and Ramin Rezaeian sealed the defeat for Wales, who also had goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey sent off.

"It's gutting - there's no other way to say it," Bale said.

  16. Deschamps says Denmark should not be underestimatedpublished at 14:16 Greenwich Mean Time 25 November 2022

France v Denmark (Sat, 16:00 GMT)

    France

France manager Didier Deschamps is hopeful his team have learned their lessons following their surprise Nations League defeats to Denmark over the summer.

Describing Saturday's opponents as "underestimated as a team", Deschamps said Denmark "made life very difficult" for the reigning world champions earlier this year.

Denmark won 2-1 in Paris in June before winning 2-0 in Copenhagen at the end of September.

"It is not a question of revenge because we know the Danish players and they know us," said Deschamps. "They can change system from one match to the other and that can give us different types of difficulties."
