  1. Three points for the Reds?published at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Man Utd 1-0 Bournemouth

Manchester United have a record of W9, D0, L0 when scoring the opening goal in the English Premier League this season.

  2. Postpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Leicester 0-1 Fulham

Decent chance this for Timothy Castagne. The Leicester full-back is in space from a left-wing cross but heads wide.

  3. Postpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle

    That's four yellow cards now...

The free-kick goes into the box and Dan Burn and Gabriel fall down in a heap. There's appeals for a penalty but nothing given by VAR.

  4. Postpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Everton 0-1 Brighton

Everton are starting to apply some pressure. Another cross towards Calvert-Lewin earns a corner from which Dwight McNeil's shot is blocked.

They need a goal or this will be a third successive home defeat.

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:25 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle

Credit to Newcastle, who are keeping Arsenal out despite the hosts playing some nice football.

Martin Odegaard pulls the shirt of Miguel Almiron but the Newcastle man wriggles away before eventually losing it. It's called back for the free-kick and... another yellow card.

  6. Postpublished at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Leicester 0-1 Fulham

Harvey Barnes finds Marc Albrighton, who drags his low shot from the corner of the box across goal.

It's only Albrighton's fourth Premier League appearance of the season. Now the veteran(?) whips in a fine cross although nobody is on the end of it.

GOAL - Man Utd 1-0 Bournemouthpublished at 20:23 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Casemiro

Christian Eriksen's delicious delivery to the near stick is volleyed home by Casemiro.

Great finish from the Brazil midfielder. The hosts have been in complete control so far.

  8. Postpublished at 20:23 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Man Utd 0-0 Bournemouth

Ironic jeers from the Manchester United fans as Marcus Rashford is brought down by Bournemouth defender Adam Smith. They are still asking why they didn't get a foul for Chris Mepham's challenge on Casemiro moments earlier.

  9. Postpublished at 20:23 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle

Lovely stuff from Arsenal. Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah hold it up on the right. It's poked through to Martin Odegaard, who lets it run for Thomas Partey in the middle, but his shot is blocked.

  10. Postpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Everton 0-1 Brighton

You won't need us to tell you Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a threat in the air but here he can't get enough on a header to send it towards goal.

It was better from Everton, however.

  11. Postpublished at 20:22 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Leicester 0-1 Fulham

Youri Tielemans gets in behind the Fulham defence and cuts it back to Harvey Barnes but Joao Palhinha gets there first. Good recovery by the Fulham midfielder.

  12. Postpublished at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle

Oleksandr Zinchenko gifts it straight to Callum Wilson. He has Joelinton in support but he can't pull it back into the centre.

    Arsenal got away with that.

  13. Postpublished at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Man Utd 0-0 Bournemouth

    Almost.

Casemiro lofts a pass into the Bournemouth penalty area in the direction of Donny van de Beek.

The Dutch midfielder can't quite get hold of it and sees the ball run through to visiting keeper Mark Travers.

  14. Postpublished at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Leicester 0-1 Fulham

  15. CLOSE!published at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle

The closest we have come to a goal.

Gabriel gets on the end of Martin Odegaard's free-kick but the header bounces inches wide of Nick Pope's far post.

  16. Postpublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Leicester 0-1 Fulham

Fulham back on top now. Leicester's defending is remarkable at times. And I don't mean that in a good way.

And of course as I write that, the Foxes have a chance - but Jamie Vardy's cross is dealt with by Bernd Leno.

  17. 'Worrying for Everton'published at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Everton 0-1 Brighton

    Paul Robinson
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live Extra

Two passes and Brighton are on having a shot on goal.

It is just worrying for Everton how little time it is taking Brighton to get back to front.

  18. Postpublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Man Utd 0-0 Bournemouth

It has been a slow and frustrating start for Manchester United at Old Trafford.

They are dominating possession but they are yet to really create any chances, with Anthony Martial's header, that went well wide, the only opportunity so far.

It is no surprise that defenders Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof have had the most touches for Erik ten Hag's men so far.

  19. Newcastle digging inpublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Emirates Stadium

Newcastle United have seen off that early Arsenal siege and are now acquitting themselves well. The Gunners are struggling to regain that early impetus as the game becomes scrappy and the yellow cards come out.

  20. Postpublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle

Another free-kick. Martin Odegaard is chopped from behind by Joelinton.

He escapes a yellow card - the referee has given them out quite freely - and Odegaard will whip it in.
