    Man Utd 0-0 Bournemouth

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro goes sliding in on Philip Billing down the left and gets the ball but only after coming through the Bournemouth midfielder.

Jaidon Anthony is on free-kick duties for the visitors in a promising position but he overcooks his delivery and it goes straight out of play.

    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

You have to credit Newcastle now. They've weathered that storm and got a foothold in the game. They're starting to get a grip of their role in this match.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle

Sloppy pass from Granit Xhaka and it leaves Eddie Nketiah short. He drags the shirt of Fabian Schar and that's another yellow card.

  4. Postpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Mikel Arteta has been that animated about the decisions that the Newcastle bench have felt like they have to get involved or retaliate a bit. When the pace of the game is so frantic maybe it's just rubbed off on him a bit.

  5. 'Brighton will make no apologies'published at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Everton 0-1 Brighton

    Paul Robinson
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live Extra

Brighton are sticking with the way they play. They will make no apologies.

They will play out short from the back or try and play around the other team. Everton will put the high press on and it won't work.

Brighton have been able to pick apart Everton so comfortably. One with the goal. Two with the shot against the post. They have made the Toffees look so vulnerable.

  6. Postpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Everton 0-1 Brighton

The grumbles are growing louder at Goodison as Everton show little interest in closing the Brighton players down. The Toffees have completely lost their way after a promising start.

They haven't won any of the home games in which they conceded the first goal this season.

Adam Flowers: When will Mitrovic start attracting the ‘bigger’ Premier League Clubs? 11 goals so far this season - 4th highest behind Haaland (21), Kane (13) and Toney (12). The other three players always get the headlines… can we start praising Aleksandar too

  8. Postpublished at 20:14 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle

Dan Burn brings down Eddie Nketiah as he threatens to get away on the right.

The crowd cheer and start chanting "Eddie". Arsenal still on top but Newcastle have managed to keep them out after half an hour.

  9. Postpublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Leicester 0-1 Fulham

It's like Leicester have woken from a slumber. Marc Albrighton and Youri Tielemans are pinging in all kinds of dangerous crosses now and Jamie Vardy's header is saved by Bernd Leno at his near post.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle

Callum Wilson gets a yellow as he catches William Saliba late following a clearance.

Aaron Ramsdale had raced off his line in protest.

  11. Postpublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Man Utd 0-0 Bournemouth

First decent chance for the hosts. Bruno Fernandes spreads the ball wide to Luke Shaw.

The England defender whips in a cross from the left but Anthony Martial gets his header all wrong and it sails harmlessly wide.

  12. Postpublished at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Leicester 0-1 Fulham

Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is still moaning to the officials about that Wilfred Ndidi tackle earlier. Surely a statute of limitations on these things.

  13. Postpublished at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Everton 0-1 Brighton

Teenager Evan Ferguson is catching the eye at Goodison tonight. Having already hit the post, he now gets a powerful strike away from outside the box which only just clears the bar.

Kaoru Mitoma looks to have Nathan Patterson on toast down the left too.

    Corner to Brighton...

  14. Postpublished at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Leicester 0-1 Fulham

Aleksandar Mitrovic has equalled his best Premier League goals return in a single season - 11 in 2018-19.

Only two of the Serb's 11 PL goals this campaign have been netted outside of London (this one and in Leeds on 23 October).

  15. Postpublished at 20:10 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle

Gabriel Martinelli tries to pick out Eddie Nketiah but Fabian Schar does well to intercept. He beats Oleksandr Zinchenko but with only Callum Wilson in support, he's quickly pounced on by three Arsenal players and loses it.

  17. Postpublished at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Leicester 0-1 Fulham

This is more like it from Leicester (until the finish)! Youri Tielemans runs down the right, beats a defender and lifts over a dream ball which Ayoze Perez half-volleys over an open goal from four yards out.

  18. Postpublished at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Man Utd 0-0 Bournemouth

One or two penalty Manchester United penalty appeals as Donny van de Beek's header hits Bournemouth defender Chris Mepham in the box. Nowt doing for the hosts there.

  19. Postpublished at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Leicester 0-1 Fulham

Fulham defender Tim Ream accidentally hooks a cross behind his own goal for a corner. I think he was trying to clear.

  20. Postpublished at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

It was quite a storm from Arsenal that opening, one of the brightest starts to a Premier League game I've seen for a while. Going for the throat early on, they haven't managed to capitalise and get a goal but still very dominant in a lot of way.

They haven't managed to get a goal but I think it has forced Newcastle to go a bit more defensive, they're just trying to solid up that middle of the pitch.
