What a start to the game this is. I can't tell you how badly Arsenal want this at the moment - It's so good to see the energy, the turnover of the ball and how quickly Arsenal are running at the moment. They are really trying to get a goal early in this game.

Newcastle just need to get a moment in this game, they're under siege. Arsenal are really turning the screw at the moment.

That Bukayo Saka and Dan Burn match-up is an interesting one.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 19:52 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Leicester 0-0 Fulham

Everton turn their early possession into the first real chance of the game but Alex Iwobi's effort is saved low down by Robert Sanchez.

The Everton fans like what they have seen so far.

  10. Postpublished at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Leicester 0-0 Fulham

Very bright start from Fulham here. Kenny Tete glides through the Leicester team and finds Willian, whose low curling shot from 20 yards goes just wide of the far post. A much better shot than his first effort.

  11. Postpublished at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

Very strong start from Arsenal. Joelinton tries to double up on Bukayo Saka but he still gets free on the right.

What a move from Arsenal, real high intensity tempo they have started this game.

One thing about Arsenal this season is that Granit Xhaka is an attacking midfielder now, he's running from midfield, bursting past the centre-forward.

That happened out of nothing really.

  13. Postpublished at 19:48 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2023

    Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle

Ooh. Gabriel Martinelli gets away down the left and cuts it back into the box. Eddie Nketiah tries to turn but it comes to Ben White. His shot is blocked, then it pops up for Martin Odegaard who fires it dangerously over the bar!

Good break from Fulham. There's a bit of pinball in the box and Willian blazes a wild shot miles over.

Conditions are horrible at Goodison Park too with Frank Lampard squinting through the rain on the touchline. Everton have had most of the early possession.
