    In case you're wondering who Benoit Badiashile is. Chelsea signed him from Monaco for £35m on a seven-and-a-half-year contract a few days ago.

    Badiashile, 21, has spent five seasons in Ligue 1 and made 135 league appearances for Monaco.

    The central defender made his senior France debut in September against Austria and has two caps.

    Chelsea make five changes to the team beaten at Fulham on Thursday including a debut for Benoit Badiashile. Jorginho, Conor Gallagher, Carney Chukwuemeka and Hakim Ziyech also return.

    Kalidou Koulibaly, Cesar Azpilicueta and Mateo Kovacic drop to the bench, Joao Felix is suspended and Denis Zakaria out with a thigh problem.

    Newcastle are unchanged from their League Cup victory over Leicester in midweek. That means Joelinton keeps his place despite being charged with drink driving this week. Manager Eddie Howe had cast doubt on his inclusion.

    Record signing Alexander Isak is on the bench, back in the squad for a league game for the first time since September.

    Chelsea are likely to be without 11 first-team players as new signing Joao Felix begins a three-match ban after his red card at Fulham.

    Midfielder Denis Zakaria suffered a thigh issue in that game and joins the likes of Ben Chilwell, Reece James, and Raheem Sterling on the sidelines.

    Crystal Palace left-back Tyrick Mitchell returns from a three-match ban after his Boxing Day dismissal.

    James McArthur and Nathan Ferguson remain long-term absentees.

    Before then our focus will be on the two 14:00 games as fourth play sixth - Newcastle v Fulham - and Chelsea, who will feel like they should be up there too, face Crystal Palace in the first capital clash of the day.

    But today could be even bigger.
