City threaten with a much more fluid attacking but Kevin de Bruyne's low cross towards Erling Haaland is intercepted by Nathan Collins.

Why so negative from Wolves? Why not go and win yourselves a corner or get the ball into the box?

This game is still to really get going, which is surely part of the design for Brentford.

A bit of heat is injected as Mathias Jensen and Tyler Adams clash on the touchline, but it's just a minor flash of anger, a little shove and we carry on.

Wolves have a rare attack, 25 minutes into the game.

But Ruben Neves' free-kick is flicked away by John Stones.

Mathias Jensen tries to pull a fast one from a free-kick from deep.

He spots Illan Meslier slightly off his line and tries to capitalise, but the Leeds keeper is more alert than the Bees man thought and steps back to catch the ball.

Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes is a terrific runner with the ball from the middle of the park, really drives forward with it with intent.

He does so again, but is tugged back by Rodri and the Spaniard is booked.

Poor from Riyad Mahrez, sending in a corner which sails all the way across the box for a goalkick at the other side.

And now Illan Meslier is forced into a diving stop to prevent a cross from a short Brentford corner causing any problems.

Ethan Pinnock regathers, beats his man on the right and then swings over a cross that goes out of play and back in via a little bounce on the crossbar.
