This ground has responded to that little run of home corners. They're in the game now, making this place a bit more intimidating, a bit more lively.

Another Everton corner. This one is to the near post and met by Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but he can only flash his header past the upright.

Amadou Onana is in there again for the third corner, but Arsenal survive and hammer the ball away.

It's some much-needed encouragement for this beleaguered home support.

The corners continue to come. James Tarkowski's header at the back post is deflected behind.

Tell you what, they're not far off. Amadou Onana rises at the back post but the ball is nodded behind again by an Arsenal head.

Sean Dyche hasn't been INSIDE his technical area so far. He's standing right on the touchline, barking instructions to blue shirts.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is called over and given some directions with frantic hand gestures.

    Everton 0-0 Arsenal

You can clearly see the two banks of Everton players strung across the pitch. One of four, the next of five. It is making things tough for Arsenal to play through. Just as Sean Dyche has styled it.

Dominic: No senior board members at Goodison for the first match in charge with a new manager speaks volumes. Talk about disrespect to the club, players, fans and of course Sean Dyche and his team. Really is "The league's worst run club". Shocking.

Bukayo Saka is still down and getting treatment on that eye. He slowly gets back to his feet and looks like he's going to be OK to continue.

    Good news for Arsenal.

"You're going down, you're going down, you're going down," chant the Arsenal fans.

All right when you're top of the league, eh?

Boos echo around the ground as Bukayo Saka gets a free-kick for a poke to the eye (accidental) from Idrissa Gueye. The frustration continues as the Arsenal man stays down for treatment.

The Arsenal fans take this as a chance to suggest the Toffees might not be long for the Premier League.

A little bit better from Everton in an attacking sense. They work space on the right for Dwight McNeil and then Abdoulaye Doucoure, but the latter's cross is headed away.

Paul: Everton are one of those pathetic clubs who turn up against bigger sides then be rubbish rest of the time. It’s about time they went out of the Premier League. And let’s not pretend their fans are blameless. They were the main reason Lampard got the job and they attacked players cars so what player would want join them?

Pete: Am I the only one who finds aerial protests completely distasteful? The cost during a cost-of-living crisis as well as the environmental aspect.

Arsenal showing plenty of patience and skill.

A sloppy pass out wide to Gabriel Martinelli lets Everton off the hook, though.

This game is going to test the home fans' own patience, because they are going to have to accept their side are not going to see a lot of the ball.

It looks like no senior Everton board members are in attendance again.

There's five empty seats in the directors' box here.

Could have put those back into the ballot.

Trying to remember the last time hiring a plane to fly a snarky message over a struggling club helped matters - oh that's right, literally never.

Arsenal are going to have to be very precise with their passing in the Everton half. The Toffees are packed in, in numbers.

Gabriel Martinelli is briefly found in space on the left but after he knocks back to Oleksandr Zinchenko, the following cross is straight to Jordan Pickford.

We have an aerial protest now.

A plane flies over pulling a banner that I'm pretty sure said "The league's worst run club". They don't mean Arsenal.
