    Oh my word!

    What a miss. Extraordinary.

Eddie Nketiah does superbly to pinch the ball on the left side of the box. He finds Martin Odegaard who has the whole goal at his mercy but he somehow sweeps a first-time shot wide.

What a moment that could prove to be.

John McGinn shows great feet to make space on the edge of the D. He sidefoots an effort at goal but too tame and too close to Aaron Ramsdale.

Matty Cash then makes a brilliant tackle to prevent Gabriel Martinelli from getting in at the other end.

Ntekiah, get the basics right before you try anything complicated, please! He's been so poor in front of goal the last five or six games.

    James

No one ever mentions Eddie Nketiah’s role in the current situation at Arsenal. He’s a good Championship forward, but not top of the Premier League. If his two chances against City fell to Haaland, would he have missed? He never looks confident he’s going to score! A centre forward was a must in the transfer window.

Martin Odegaard plays a wonderful pass to send Eddie Nketiah away. He's in momentarily but Tyrone Mings does well to usher him wide before his lob over the onrushing Emi Martinez goes over the bar.

Oleksandr Zinchenko's first goal for Arsenal and a big goal!

The defender is given so much space on the edge of the area as he gets the ball from a short corner and he drives a clinical strike inside the near post.

Arsenal are level again, but can they go on to get the win they need?

Nice ball through the defence by Douglas Luiz to find Ollie Watkins. The Aston Villa striker tries to go round the outside of William Saliba as he did for the opener but Saliba has his number this time, forcing Watkins wide before dealing with the danger.
