    Southampton 2-0 Man City

City can't get Julian Alvarez into the game at all. He's had one touch in the Saints box.

Cole Palmer has the ball on the edge of the box and 20 seconds later the ball is back with his keeper. They just can't find a way through.

Southampton really have been excellent here, top marks to Nathan Jones' side. Phil Foden gets the ball and is squeezed out by three Saints, who immediately get a quick counter-attack going.

It is really daft defending from Lyanco who goes to ground. Jack Grealish drives into the box and Caleta-Carr makes an important block.

Even though it is 1-0, Wolves have played the better football in the last 15-20 minutes and they will be disappointed going into half time not winning this cup tie.

What a goal this is from Moussa Djenepo!

Picks the ball up from the left-hand side, Stefan Ortega is miles off his line and it is perfection from Djenepo, who just lifts the ball over Ortega who is floundering.

    Moussa Djenepo (28 mins)

    I'm sorry, what's this now?

Moussa Djenepo scores a screamer and Manchester City are on the ropes.

Djenepo, almost 30 yards out, spots Stefan Ortega a few yards off his line and curls the ball into the back of the net. It wasn't a lob but he took full advantage of the keeper's positioning.

That's two superb saves from Dean Henderson to deny Raul Jimenez and Hwang Hee-chan.

He made himself big for the first and then showed impressive reactions for the second, which was a first time effort from Hwang.

The on-loan Manchester United man has preserved Forest's lead. Wolves would expect to score at least one of those chances.

Southampton manager Nathan Jones wants his team to be aggressive. They have been as good as his word and now have a deserved reward with that goal.

Jones, a constant presence in the technical area trying to orchestrate every move for his players, punched the air in delight when Sekou Mara's shot flew in. He has had a tough start at St Mary's and that will make life feel a whole lot better.
