It’s bottom of the Championship versus bottom of the Premiership here, but Accies have won their last two matches, while County are without a victory in their last seven outings.

Staggies boss Malky Mackay has spoken about speculation linking striker Jordan White with St Johnstone.

“Jordan White is not going to St Johnstone,” he said.

“It’s pure coincidence that he’s dropped to the bench today. He’s had a heavy shift the last few weeks and he will participate in the match. There was a conversation (with St Johnstone) but he’s got 18 months to go (on his contract) and he’s not going anywhere.”

Celtic scorer David Turnbull tells BBC Scotland: "In the first 5-10 minutes we were under pressure but after that we played our football. I'm delighted to get another goal. I'm just trying to get as many goals and assist as I can. It's a big squad and everybody does their job and gives 100%. You just have to give your all. I'll be delighted to see who we can get in the next round."

Morton manager Dougie Imrie: "I'm disappointed. In the first 15-20 mins we were well in the game then VAR changes it. After that we felt sorry for ourselves. In the last five minutes of the first half we conceded more. Credit to Celtic, they kept coming at us.

"I'm probably glad that I don't have to deal with VAR week, in week out. I don't know how they can give a penalty. I don't know where Efe can put his hand. We had a couple of half chances. I am really proud of my boys."

In the second half Morton did defend their box better at times. Celtic's tempo dropped. They got Iwata on, young Bosun made his debut. Morton were much better but Celtic took their foot off the gas.

Bosun Lawal is on for his Celtic debut, the 19-year-old centre-half taking over for Carl Starfelt for the last few minutes.
