    FT: Celtic 5-0 Morton

Sead [Haksabanovic], who has missed a fair bit of football, it was good to give him 45 minutes."

  9. 'White going nowhere', says Mackaypublished at 14:27 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2023

Hamilton Academical v Ross County (15:00)

    Kenny Crawford
BBC Sport Scotland at New Douglas Park

It’s bottom of the Championship versus bottom of the Premiership here, but Accies have won their last two matches, while County are without a victory in their last seven outings.

Staggies boss Malky Mackay has spoken about speculation linking striker Jordan White with St Johnstone.

“Jordan White is not going to St Johnstone,” he said.

“It’s pure coincidence that he’s dropped to the bench today. He’s had a heavy shift the last few weeks and he will participate in the match. There was a conversation (with St Johnstone) but he’s got 18 months to go (on his contract) and he’s not going anywhere.”

  10. Turnbull 'delighted' to add to goal tallypublished at 14:23 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2023

    FT: Celtic 5-0 Morton

Celtic scorer David Turnbull tells BBC Scotland: "In the first 5-10 minutes we were under pressure but after that we played our football. I'm delighted to get another goal. I'm just trying to get as many goals and assist as I can. It's a big squad and everybody does their job and gives 100%. You just have to give your all. I'll be delighted to see who we can get in the next round."

  11. Imrie flummoxed by penalty callpublished at 14:21 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2023

    FT: Celtic 5-0 Morton

Morton manager Dougie Imrie: "I'm disappointed. In the first 15-20 mins we were well in the game then VAR changes it. After that we felt sorry for ourselves. In the last five minutes of the first half we conceded more. Credit to Celtic, they kept coming at us.

"I'm probably glad that I don't have to deal with VAR week, in week out. I don't know how they can give a penalty. I don't know where Efe can put his hand. We had a couple of half chances. I am really proud of my boys."

    FT: Celtic 5-0 Morton

    Shaun Maloney
Former Celtic & Scotland forward on Sportscene

In the second half Morton did defend their box better at times. Celtic's tempo dropped. They got Iwata on, young Bosun made his debut. Morton were much better but Celtic took their foot off the gas.

  17. Postpublished at 88 mins

    Celtic 5-0 Morton

Daizen Maeda thinks he's going to tap in number six from a Sead Haksabanovic cross but Efe Ambrose throws himself into the six yard box and does very well to knock the ball out of the Celtic striker's path.

  18. Big moment for Lawalpublished at 87 mins

Bosun Lawal is on for his Celtic debut, the 19-year-old centre-half taking over for Carl Starfelt for the last few minutes.

  19. 'Morton's slack marking'published at 14:02 Greenwich Mean Time 21 January 2023

    Celtic 5-0 Morton

    Leanne Crichton
    Ex-Scotland international on BBC Sportscene

Morton will be frustrated. There were enough yellow jerseys around Haksabanovic but they just do not pick up the Celtic players in and around the box. It's been the story of their afternoon.

  20. goal

GOAL Celtic 5-0 Mortonpublished at 84 mins

    Aaron Mooy

Classic commentator's curse from Leanne there...

Morton are again guilty of standing off in their own penalty box as Sead Haksabanovic sets up Aaron Mooy to lash in goal number five for Celtic.
