    Morton v Dundee (19:45)

The two sides have met twice already in this season's league campaign. Just how enthralling were those recent duels, I hear you ask?

I'm afraid the answer is not very. In fact, not at all.

Both this season's meetings between the pairs ended goalless, while their last four encounters have all ended in a draw. You have to venture back to the fanless void of October 2020 to find a winner in this fixture, when Celtic loanee Jonathan Afolabi's fifth minute goal was enough to secure Dundee victory at Dens Park.

Fingers crossed they both decide to liven up a little in front of the BBC cameras.

A dreich night in Greenock for another Championship corker, no doubt.

Usually at this time of the year you’d be saying we’re edging towards crunch time, but it’s never not been tight this season!

A huge night for both, again, but I ain’t even going to try and begin with all the permutations. By the time I finish, there’ll be many more new ones to add…

  4. Morton's Muirhead missing; Jakubiak in for Deepublished at 19:21 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2023

    Morton v Dundee (19:45)

It's one change a piece with both sides sticking with what they know ahead of this top-four encounter.

For the hosts, Carlo Pignatiello comes in for top scorer Robbie Muirhead, whose missing from the squad entirely. Cameron Blues is in midfield for his 100th Ton appearance.

Dundee switch out Luke McCowan for Alex Jakubiak, who scored the second off the bench in last weekend's thumping of Cove. Zach Robinson, despite his strong form, remains on the Dee bench.

    How we doing?

I hope we're full of excitement for another intriguing Friday night Championship encounter, as fourth-placed Greenock Morton welcome Dundee, who can go top of the league with a win this evening, if Queen's Park drop points at home to Raith Rovers.

Meanwhile, the 'Ton are looking to strengthen their unlikely play-off push as we head into the business end of the season.

We'll also have updates from the other crucial game at Ochilview. Plenty to play for - just how we like it.
