Italy are looking very dangerous on the break and England will have to watch for that.

Alex Greenwood snuffs out the latest threat but the visitors are really targeting the right flank - England's left - and they win their first corner.

England clear it, albeit not massively convincingly.

She is just a nightmare because she can sniff something out of nothing.

Rachel Daly puts Martina Lenzini under all sorts of pressure and forces the mistake - but her low drive is excellently pushed aside by Giuliani.

Italy's first attack almost results in the opening goal but Ellie Roebuck is extremely alert to deny Valentina Giacinti at her near post.

The visitors had the Lionesses outnumbered on a swift counter-attack there and Giacinti struck her shot sweetly from the right-hand side of the area but Roebuck reacted smartly.

She sets Niamh Charles racing down the left. In turn she finds Jess Park but, under pressure, she fires well wide from 20 yards.

This feels like a big tournament for Alex Greenwood.

She spoke to us earlier this week about her form and the confidence she is in.

It's clear she's playing well and enjoying her football.

She's been rewarded with another start today and is expected to play in the centre-back position, as opposed to the left-back role she took on Thursday.

Today's match officials are all from North Macedonia with Ivana Projkovska the woman in the middle.

North Macedonia, incidentally, were England's first opposition of the Sarina Wiegman era, thrashed 8-0 by the Lionesses, in a World Cup qualifier in September 2021.

And it's pretty much been all fun and roses since.
