They were beaten by Manchester United in the FA Cup final in 1999 and the same has happened here.

There are tears in a few eyes, including Bruno Guimaraes'. But the Toon players are still being cheered by their fans, who are all still here.

That's pride. They'll also be hoping this is a start of something, not a crushing finale.

They have had a lot of possession around their opponents' area but they haven't looked like getting the goal they desperately need.

The Newcastle free-kick is cleared but Jacob Murphy picks the loose ball up and fires a shot from way, way out that curls just past the post of David de Gea's goal.
