Newcastle are throwing men forward. There has been a couple of occasions in the last few minutes when they've been one decent ball away from getting.

Man Utd are throwing men in front of the ball, flinging themselves into tackles to keep them out.

Allan Saint-Maximin is such a frustrating footballer.

He does so much right to win the ball, beat a man, keep the ball in and cut inside to the edge of the Man Utd box. But after all that, a lazy pass gives the ball away.

This feels like a pivotal period in the game.

Newcastle have had more threat since half-time and are exerting some pressure around the Manchester United box.

Their supporters are sensing it and are getting behind their team.

There is plenty of time left but they need to maintain their offensive.

Bruno Guimaraes gets a bit of magic spray to his knee and looks OK to carry on. Much to Newcastle's relief.

Newcastle try to muscle their way into the Man Utd box to find a clear shooting chance. There are two many bodies, though, and neither Bruno Guimaraes, Joelinton or Allan Saint-Maximin can make anything happen.

Guimaraes then chases a loose ball to fly into a tackle that causes him some pain due to his studs getting caught in the turf.

Newcastle are being really positive.

They are getting plenty of balls into the box and giving Isak and Wilson something to attack.

All the talk before this game was of the Newcastle dark arts that Manchester United had to try and combat.

I suspect we'll see Erik ten Hag's side employing a few of their own now to manage this game to a successful conclusion.
