Based on the performance of both teams I would not be surprised if they are both relegated. After this game both teams have very hard games left to play.

Paul Bennett: Leicester’s defending is Championship level already. Makes it entertaining for a neutral though. Which I am. GIVE ME MORE CHAOS!

How costly will that James Maddison penalty miss at the end of the first half prove to be?

Sean Dyche would have been demanding more crosses into the box and that's what he's got.

Dwight McNeil swings it in and Alex Iwobi guides it really nicely into the far corner.

No wonder Dyche is celebrating in that technical area.

    Alex Iwobi (Everton)

What a game! Everton equalise 10 minutes into the second half. Dwight McNeil crosses from the left flank, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, challenged by Wout Faes, flicks it on with his head and Alex Iwobi catches it first time on the volley and fires past Daniel Iversen.

Redemption for Iwobi, who had given the ball away for Jamie Vardy's goal earlier on tonight.

    Leicester 2-1 Everton

A good save from Leicester's Daniel Iversen after Jordan Pickford starts the move with a long ball launched forwards. It fell to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but Iversen kept out the strike with his legs at the near post after the England striker was played in by Alex Iwobi.

Probably the best half of football I've seen this season! Wow!

I don't know how many times Iwobi has given the ball away I'm counting about eight and one has led to a goal and one penalty please get Gray on!

Leicester have only lost once in nine games (won seven, drew one) when leading at half-time in the Premier League this season.

Everton have been behind in half-time in 13 PL games in 2022-23, but have only gone on to recover and pick up just one point from those matches.

Biggest game for Everton since their last trophy in 1995 and they're going down. Looking forward to playing them in the 24/25 season Div 1.

    John. Wrexham.

I've been looking forward to this match all day. Good game so far.

Have to say having gone past Bramley Dock on the train last week and seeing Everton's fantastic new stadium under construction it would be a travesty if it’s opening game was in the Championship!!

To be a fly on that dressing room wall seeing Tielemans and Maddison discuss that penalty...

Nothing like the drama of a relegation battle at close season is there. This game has it all! I'm in the room with 2 close mates - one Everton fan one a Leicester fan ...and it's going off!!

    Incredible!

Maddison had to wait for such a long time and he goes for the centre where Pickford stands firm.

It's a huge moment right on half time.

It's a fair scoreline at the moment. Everton had their chances but Leicester have shown so much hunger.

This first half has had everything. Now we need to see how Everton can react.

That Maddison missed penalty is the last action of the first half.

Everton were 1-0 up, but go in 2-1 down, although it could've been worse.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has also missed a sitter for Everton, who also had captain Seamus Coleman carried off on a stretcher with what looks to be a serious injury.
