    Leicester v Everton (20:00 BST)

The Foxes are in marginally the better form, having won one of their previous six Premier League games - a 2-1 win against Wolves on 22 April.

That came after four successive defeats and they followed that up with a draw against Leeds in their last outing.

Leicester have strong attacking options which will be key to their survival but defensively there is a huge question mark as they have not kept a clean sheet in the Premier League since beating West Ham 2-0 on 12 November.

Everton have taken three points from their last six games but that came from three draws. They have not won since 11 March and their last away victory was way back on 1 October, when they beat Southampton 2-1.

That was just one of two away wins this season for the Toffees.

Everton have a better record than Leicester defensively, having conceded 50 goals to the Foxes' 57.

However, Leicester have countered their frailties at the back with goals, having scored 44 in 33 games, compared to just 25 for Everton.

As an Evertonian, I think it's finally our turn to drop out of the top tier. Praying for three points tonight of course but I think the Foxes should just nick this one.

Spare a thought for Nottingham Forrest fans - they're guaranteed to drop into the relegation zone no matter what happens tonight.

  4. What the statisticians say...published at 19:06 British Summer Time 1 May 2023

    Leicester v Everton (20:00 BST)

Simon Gleave, head of sports analysis, Nielsen's Gracenote: "Tonight's match can have a massive impact on the relegation chances of Leicester City and Everton.

"Currently Everton are second favourites to go down with a 60% chance according to our Euro Club Index, , externalbut victory at Leicester City will mean that Everton's chance of relegation will drop to 23%.

In contrast Leicester's will increase to 58%. A Leicester win will change their relegation chance from 27% to 9% and increase Everton's to 79%. A draw doesn't really help either team."

  5. Ex-Everton striker Campbell 'frightened' for teampublished at 19:04 British Summer Time 1 May 2023

    Leicester v Everton (20:00 BST)

Everton just escaped relegation last season under Frank Lampard, securing Premier League survival with a memorable 3-2 win against Crystal Palace at Goodison Park in their penultimate game if the season.

Toffees fans have expressed their frustrations at the club's owners for overseeing another season of struggle.

"From top to bottom, the club looks to be a mess," said former Everton striker Kevin Campbell.

"I'm frightened for them. I still think they will stay up and there is enough quality in the squad. But I'm not crazy enough to think they can't go down.

"There are some tough games coming up but this is where they have to fight, dig deep and pick points up."

Former Leicester defender Dion Dublin added: "I was lucky enough to get out of two relegation fights with Coventry. You just have to concentrate on your next game, get over the line, get something and start again.

    "It drains you."

Leicester make three changes to the side that drew 1-1 at Leeds last time out.

It might be a switch to 4-3-3 with Jamie Vardy, who scored the equaliser in that game, replacing the injured Kelechi Iheanacho. Wilfred Ndidi comes in to the middle of the park, replacing winger Tete, while Luke Thomas comes in for Victor Kristiansen at left-back.

Leicester XI: Iversen, Castagne, Faes, Soyuncu, Thomas, Ndidi, Tielemans, Soumare, Barnes, Maddison, Vardy.

Subs: Ward, Souttar, Kristiansen, Amartey, Daka, Dewsbury-Hall, Mendy, Praet, Tete.

    Leicester v Everton

Everton also make two changes after their demoralising 4-1 home defeat by Newcastle last Thursday.

The major news sees captain Seamus Coleman return to the starting line-up after recovering from a hamstring injury, replacing Ben Godfrey at right-back.

The other big team news for the Toffees is that Amadou Onana is only on the bench, with James Garner coming in to the middle of the park.

Everton XI: Pickford, Coleman, Keane, Tarkowski, Mykolenko, Garner, Gueye, Doucoure, Iwobi, McNeil, Calvert-Lewin.

Subs: Begovic, Patterson, Davies, Coady, Mina, Onana, Sims, Gray, Maupay.
