    Leicester 1-1 Everton

Caglar Soyuncu's goal was his first in the Premier League this season. What a time to get it.

Indeed, it was his first league goal in 26 appearances, since netting against Manchester United in October 2021.

Too much tension in sport right now and don't know where to look on BBC - snooker, Champions League, or Premier League!

A penny for Brendan Rodgers' thoughts.

Defender Caglar Soyuncu couldn't get a look-in this season under the former manager but has come straight back in since Dean Smith took charge.

How big a goal could that prove to be from the Turkey international?

    Caglar Soyuncu (Leicester)

A ball is headed across goal by Leicester's Wout Faes as Everton fail to deal with a set-piece and Caglar Soyuncu, slipping as he shoots, steers his effort at the middle of the goal.

Jordan Pickford will be massively disappointed to have been beaten by that one, he can only get a hand to it, but can't keep it out and Leicester were only behind for seven minutes.

Jack Lovatt: Leicester ruining 95% of the league's fun here.

Paul: I know it’s just 15 minutes of this one game but if this is anything go on everton have a better chance of staying up than Leicester do. Leicester are shocking.

    Leicester 0-1 Everton

Leicester are all over the place at the moment. Dwight McNeil's corner is met by Michael Keane and he nods the ball just wide.

Leicester need to find their composure and do so quickly.

Oh that is a massive goal in the context of the season and the battle to stay in the Premier League.

It's just the second goal Dominic Calvert-Lewin has scored this term.

Only one section of the King Power making any noise now, it's gone very quiet elsewhere.

    Dominic Calvert-Lewin (penalty)

Daniel Iversen dives to his right, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin goes hard, high and down the middle from the penalty spot. Everton lead and that could be a huge, huge goal for them.

  11. PENALTY to Evertonpublished at 14 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Everton

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is given a shove in the back by Timothy Castagne and Michael Oliver points to the spot.

Soft, but silly from the Leicester man.

Paul: Leicester have not started this game well at all. Everton are the ones looking dangerous.

KJB: Everton survived in 1998 by the narrowest of margins - I watched it happen. Even if they don't get a result here, there's a lot more that can happen before it's all over, and they're a club with a history of great escapes.

    Leicester 0-0 Everton

A very good start to the game this one. Leicester's James Maddison looks to shoot past fellow England man Jordan Pickford with a placed shot from the edge of the penalty area, but the Three Lions number one does excellently to get down quickly to the effort to get two hands to it.

  14. Shooting practice neededpublished at 12 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Everton

Idrissa Gana Gueye has had the most attempts on goal without scoring of all Everton players in the Premier League this season (11 shots, 0 goals).

    Leicester 0-0 Everton

A corner falls to Everton's Idrissa Gana Gueye on the edge of the penalty area but he drills it well over the top.

Moments later Alex Iwobi has a great chance, trying to side-foot it into the top corner but Daniel Iversen in the Leicester goal makes a superb save to keep it out.

A couple of early corners for Everton, which comes to nothing, but Sean Dyche likes what he sees so far from his side.

It's brought the Toffees manager out to the edge of his technical area and he heartily applauds the efforts so far.

Looking at the Leicester and Everton squads tonight and how much they paid for most of those players, it's no surprise how key the 'head of recruitment' role has become...

    Stephen

I would rather Leicester go down as think they have the ability and structure to win promotion back in first season. Everton I think could sink for a while. I cannot imagine a Premier League / first division without a Merseyside derby.

    Leicester 0-0 Everton

Some half-hearted appeals for a penalty from the Leicester players as Boubakary Soumare's cross hits the arm of James Garner at short distance, but the arm is to the side of the body and referee Michael Oliver isn't interested.

In defence of Everton fans we don't feel we've been born with a top flight silver spoon. Many seasons have been spent fighting just to stay in it. We've been in much worse situations before and saved by a chap called Barry. Bring it on... again!
