  1. MISSED PENALTY - Saved by Pickford to deny Maddisonpublished at 45+8 mins

    Leicester 2-1 Everton

    SAVED!

Some Leicester fans can't watch and no wonder why. James Maddison's penalty is straight down the middle, Jordan Pickford gets two hands to it and keeps out the penalty.

A lifeline for Everton. Poor, poor penalty.

It's over for us. Everton don't deserve to stay up. We desperately need to be stripped back to bare bones and properly re-built with a young, hungry and aspirational identity. The owner, board, manager and director of football must go. Things won't improve while they linger around the club.

Seamus Coleman is carried off the pitch and hopefully the injury is nowhere near as bad as that one looks.

He is applauded by all sides of the King Power Stadium and the medics take him straight down the tunnel.

On comes Nathan Patterson for Everton.

It doesn't look good [for Coleman].

Soumare just ran into the side of his shin and it could be an ACL injury.

Everton captain Seamus Coleman is going to have to go off here and it looks a bad one. He is challenged by Boubakary Soumare, who gets a yellow card, but Coleman goes down badly and will need a stretcher.

  8. HITS THE WOODWORK - Jamie Vardypublished at 20:45 British Summer Time 1 May 2023

    Leicester 2-1 Everton

Jamie Vardy has one goal and so nearly has another. He twists and turns, gets the ball on to his left foot, lifts a finish over Jordan Pickford but the ball bounces off the top of the bar.

What a passage of play. Both clubs so close to scoring within seconds of each other.

  9. WHAT A MISS!published at 20:45 British Summer Time 1 May 2023

    Leicester 2-1 Everton

Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin just has to score. He's only three yards out, in the middle of the goal and just has to get any decent connection from Dwight McNeil's low cross to score, but steers it at Daniel Iversen, who saves with a leg.

    And Leicester attack...

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 43 mins

    Leicester 2-1 Everton

Dwight McNeil has a chance to make it 2-2 and is only denied by a great one-handed save from Daniel Iversen. It falls to Abdoulaye Doucoure and he just has to do better than that.

Wild, ugly and a lack of composure with the ball flying into the stands.

Ricology: Say what you say about Halaand but when it comes to a complete authentic striker, nothing compared to Vardy even at 36. Delightful.

That was Jamie Vardy's third goal in the Premier League this season. His last one was a late equaliser against Leeds last time out to earn a vital point.

Will he be the match-winner tonight?

As an Everton fan, I'm torn between rage and indifference. Years of this board's utter stupidity have led the club to the point where we deserve relegation. The fanbase does not deserve this.

Well should the toffees lose this then relegation is….inEVERTONble!

Everton had control of the ball but Iwobi made the mistake by playing across the field.

Tielemans finds Maddison and then Vardy is on his way, nobody can touch him. He does what Jamie Vardy does.

    Big turnaround.

It's the James Maddison-Jamie Vardy axis once more, the link-up that salvaged a point at Leeds last time out.

The King Power is rocking once more, now they need to try and hold on to this lead.

  17. goal

GOAL - Leicester 2-1 Evertonpublished at 33 mins

    Jamie Vardy

From one down, to 2-1 up. Alex Iwobi plays a loose pass for Everton near the halfway line and James Maddison slides a perfect ball through the heart of the Toffees defence.

Jamie Vardy sprints on to it, takes the ball around Jordan Pickford and, to the delight of the majority at the King Power Stadium, slaps it in the net.

Alex Iwobi tries to catch out Daniel Iversen, who had drifted off his line. Iwobi goes for the side-footed effort but it's too high and doesn't embarrass the home keeper.
