    Nathan Tella (14 mins)

Wigan's goal had lived a slightly charmed life but not any more, as Nathan Tella's 15th goal of the season gives Burnley the lead.

Tella steers the ball past Ben Amos, who had just seen Anass Zaroury whack the post shortly beforehand.

The league leaders are on the move.

    Coventry 0-0 Hull

    Chances at both ends.

Karl Darlow is brought into action in the Hull goal by a speculative strike by Josh Eccles, making the save.

Darlow makes a save again, after attempts by Matty Godden and Gustavo Hamer pinball about dangerously.

In reply, Hull shuttle down the other end through Dimitris Pelkas, but Benjamin Tetteh just can't connect with his searching cross

Stevenage's promotion charge has been checked in recent weeks with just five poins from their last seven matches.

But Steve Evans' side are ahead against Walsall thanks to Josh March's curling shot.

Crawley are also bang out of form and have lost their last six, but the the second-bottom side are ahead at Harrogate.

    Sheffield United 0-0 Luton

Sheffield United have won six of their past seven games at home in the league, with Middlesbrough the only visiting team to win at Bramall Lane during that run.

Luton, meanwhile, are bidding for a bit of history today - a win would be their 10th away from home this season, a feat they have not managed before in either of the top two divisions.

    Swansea 0-0 Middlesbrough

Entertaining start at the Liberty, where freedom has been afforded to both teams around the penalty areas.

Cameron Archer has had a pop for Boro, arcing his shot wide, while at the other end of the field Ollie Cooper doesn't come too far from opening the scoring with a similarly close effort.

Just five minutes in and Birmingham have taken the lead.

It's a fine strike from Reda Khadra on his right foot which curls around the keeper.

    Burnley 0-0 Wigan

Burnley have scored 68 goals this season and clearly fancy a few this afternoon against struggling Wigan.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson gives Ben Amos an early test of reflexes, but it's straight at the Latics custodian.

  13. Corberan to put aside Terriers fondnesspublished at 14:57 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2023

West Brom v Huddersfield (15:00 GMT)

    Carlos CorberanImage source, Getty Images

West Bromwich Albion boss Carlos Corberan has a soft spot for Huddersfield given his association, but can afford no sentiment as the two teams meet in the Championship.

Corberan led the Terriers to the second-tier play-off final last season where they were beaten by Nottingham Forest - it proved to be his last game before his exit.

His current side are craving points to bolster a play-off charge, with the Baggies four points off the play-off places amid a wodge of contenders.

"It is always special when you play these types of games," Corberan told BBC Radio WM.

"As soon as the game is started, I will of course be focused on the game. But I have very good memories of things we achieved when I was working there."

Meanwhile, opposite number Neil Warnock has been upbeat about Huddersfield's chances of avoiding the drop, having seen the club struggle since Corberan's exit.

He is the third manager to take charge of Huddersfield this season, and the wily veteran couldn't resist a dig at Corberan - who was sacked by Olympiacos in Greece before taking over at The Hawthorns.

"He must have a good agent to get in at West Brom!" Warnock told BBC Radio Leeds.

"He's found himself with a fabulous squad, you don't very often get jobs like that."

  14. Battle at the bottompublished at 14:54 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2023

    Birmingham v Rotherham (15.00 GMT)

Birmingham haven’t won in their past five matches and the run has them sitting a little too close to the relegation zone for comfort.

John Eustace’s side have picked up just seven points in their past 12 Championship games and have also lost five of their past six matches at home.

They host a Rotherham side who sit just a point and a place above them but who are on a decent run, having not lost in three games.

Their win over strugglers QPR last weekend has lifted them eight points clear of the bottom three.

  15. Millwall aiming for top-six returnpublished at 14:52 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2023

    Reading v Millwall (15:00 GMT)

Millwall celebrate a goalImage source, PA Media

Millwall are one of the clubs right in the mix for a Championship play-off position, although last weekend's home loss to Norwich saw them drop out of the top six.

The Lions had been in decent form prior to that setback and, after today's game at Reading, their next two games are at home against Swansea and Huddersfield - both teams at the wrong end of the division.

Reading still have a potential points deduction looming over them pending an English Football League review into their financial situation, so the points are just as crucial for Paul Ince's side as they bid to stave off any threat of relegation trouble.

  16. In-form Boro head for Swanseapublished at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2023

    Swansea v Middlesbrough (15:00 GMT)

    Michael CarrickImage source, Getty Images

Russell Martin might well have turned as white as Swansea's famous strip when he looked at this weekend's opponent on his calendar, such is the imperious form of their visitors Middlesbrough.

Michael Carrick had a winner's touch as a player with Manchester United, lifting everything available during 12 years, and has transferred that to management with 14 wins from 20 games in charge to propel the Teessiders up the Championship.

Swansea by contrast have lost three of their past four games, but from an omen perspective, have not lost in their past six home meetings against Boro.

On paper, that record's at risk. Joel Piroe's goals will be key, while shutting out the division's top scorer Chuba Akpom is also pivotal.

  17. Ndiaye fit to start for Bladespublished at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2023

Sheffield United v Luton (15:00 GMT)

Iliman Ndiaye celebratesImage source, PA Media

Sheffield United moved seven points clear of third-placed Middlesbrough on Tuesday with a narrow 1-0 win at Reading, and are boosted with news that goalscorer Iliman Ndiaye is fit to start against Luton after being forced off with a slight injury in midweek.

One of their toughest remaining tests comes today as the Hatters visit Bramall Lane. They may be under a different manager this term, but once again are on course to repeat last season's play-off finish - although any minimal prospects of a top-two spot will surely disappear if they are beaten this afternoon.

  18. No old pals act for Maloney in Kompany reunionpublished at 14:42 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2023

    Burnley v Wigan (15:00 GMT)

    Vincent KompanyImage source, Getty Images

Wigan boss Shaun Maloney knows Burnley counterpart Vincent Kompany well.

Maloney worked with him during his time with the Belgium national team, and was even a victorious opponent when the Latics shocked Manchester City to win the FA Cup in 2013 in his playing days.

However, their current paths could not be more different.

Maloney has come into a Wigan side bottom and struggling for form - five games without a win; Burnley are cruising at the top of the table, unbeaten in 15 Championship matches with 77 points.

"I worked with Vinny for a few years, he's a great guy and a brilliant player," Maloney told BBC Radio Manchester.

There will be little charity between the pair this afternoon, with both requiring points for different reasons.

Wigan also have the distraction of delays to their pay to overcome in terms of getting themselves up for this important fixture.

  19. Wilder in at Watfordpublished at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2023

    QPR v Watford (15:00 GMT)

    Chris WilderImage source, PA Media

Chris Wilder will take charge of his first match as Watford's head coach against QPR today, after succeeding Slaven Bilic earlier this week.

Wilder, who has agreed a deal until the end of the season, is Watford's ninth full-time manager since Javi Gracia's exit in September 2019.

Wilder won promotion from the Championship with Sheffield United in 2019 and the Hornets, who start today's game four points below the play-off spots, will hope he can repeat the trick with them in May.

As for QPR, new boss Gareth Ainsworth's two matches at the helm to date have ended in defeat, leaving the London side still too close to the relegation zone for comfort.

One positive is the return of Scotland striker Lyndon Dykes, who is back in action for the first time since 21 January. He had a spell in hospital with illness but is thankfully fit enough to play again.
