  1. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:21 British Summer Time 1 April 2023

    Luton 1-0 Watford

Gabriel Osho's swept finish just before the half hour has put Luton 1-0 ahead at the break.

The Hatters' last six wins have come by this 1-0 scoreline... can they see this one out?

Rob Edwards will be thrilled in pretty much every conceivable way at the interval, but there's plenty of work for Hornets boss Chris Wilder to do in the next 15 minutes.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:20 British Summer Time 1 April 2023

    Luton 1-0 Watford

Ok, be honest, who had 'petulantly kicking the ball away' for the cause of the first booking in this match?

Josh Smith takes Joao Pedro's name after he shows his frustration by slashing the ball into the stands after being flagged offside.

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:18 British Summer Time 1 April 2023

    Preston 2-0 Blackpool

A nightmare first half for Blackpool despite the fact they've played relatively well.

The strugglers trail 2-0 to Preston after Brad Potts' cracker of a volley and Ben Whiteman's sensational free-kick.

Work to do for Mick McCarthy's side.

  4. Postpublished at 13:17 British Summer Time 1 April 2023

    Luton 1-0 Watford

Daniel Bachmann puts his side under pressure with a poor clearance but makes up for it when Luton's Carlton Morris lets fly with a 20-yard shot, diving to his right to parry the ball well clear.

  5. Postpublished at 13:17 British Summer Time 1 April 2023

    Preston 2-0 Blackpool

Preston break into the Blackpool box and charge after a third goal right before half-time.

But the visitors successfully deal with the danger and clear the ball away.

    Two minutes added on.

  6. Postpublished at 13:15 British Summer Time 1 April 2023

    Luton 1-0 Watford

Watford again! Ken Sema jinks his way forward for Watford, floating along the byline before pulling back for Joao Pedro whose shot is crowded out.

  7. Postpublished at 13:14 British Summer Time 1 April 2023

    Luton 1-0 Watford

Watford clearly heard me. Joao Pedro flies down the left, paving the way for Imran Louza to swing in a dangerous cross, which Keinan Davis doesn't read, allowing it to drift out of play to ironic jeers.

  8. Postpublished at 13:12 British Summer Time 1 April 2023

    Preston 2-0 Blackpool

Five minutes left in this first half and it's calmed down somewhat after a frantic start.

Preston look comfortable with their lead headed into the break.

  9. goal

    Alex Gilliead (6 mins)

Early breakthrough for the promotion hopefuls!

A first goal in 76 games for midfielder Alex Gilliead gives the Bantams a perfect start.

He crunches home a firm low shot from the edge of the area.

  10. Postpublished at 13:11 British Summer Time 1 April 2023

    Luton 1-0 Watford

A break in play gives the Luton fans the chance to serenade Chris WIlder with chants of 'sacked in the morning' - they're thoroughly enjoying themselves this afternoon!

The last three of these games have been won by the home side without conceding - Watford are going to have to break that run if they are to get anything, but they've hardly been in the Hatters half in the past 20 minutes.

  11. Postpublished at 13:08 British Summer Time 1 April 2023

    Preston 2-0 Blackpool

The game has changed in Blackpool's favour slightly in the past few minutes.

They're keeping the ball better than they have done and they've stemmed the flow of Preston attacks since Ben Whiteman's stunner.

An intriguing encounter, but they need a breakthrough ideally this side of half-time.

  12. Postpublished at 13:06 British Summer Time 1 April 2023

    Luton 1-0 Watford

The Hatters faithful's first song after taking the lead is about Rob Edwards, of course!

Their second is about going up the league. It's tough to argue, as it stands they are three points outside of an automatic promotion place.

    Brett Ormerod
Former Blackpool striker on BBC Radio Lancashire

Blackpool have worked it well when they've gone forward. But they need to try and get back into this game.

They've played alright but just find themselves 2-0 down to a really good goal from Brad Potts and an excellent free-kick.

  14. Postpublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 1 April 2023

    Luton 1-0 Watford

    Leon Barnett
Former Luton defender on BBC Three Counties Radio

It's a great bit of work from Luton. The Watford marking wasn't the greatest from the long throw and the ball came out to Gabriel Osho and he slotted it in. Daniel Bachmann had no chance.

    Gabriel Osho (28 mins)

What a way to score just your second goal of the season. Some slick passing from Luton ends with Gabriel Osho sweeping home a first-time cross from the right from Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu, beating Daniel Bachmann low to his right.

Pandemonium ensues, as you might expect. There is an orange flare on the field. The tin roof is rocking.

  16. Postpublished at 13:01 British Summer Time 1 April 2023

    Preston 2-0 Blackpool

Before the international break, Blackpool boss Mick McCarthy said that if they could get four points from six prior to today's game, they'd be in the mix for survival.

In the end, they thrashed QPR but lost heavily to Coventry. And now they have their work cut out today as well as to remain in the division.

Do they have a comeback in their locker?

  17. KICK-OFFpublished at 13:01 British Summer Time 1 April 2023

    Bradford 0-0 Grimsby

We're under way in the early kick off in the fourth tier, as promotion hopefuls Bradford host FA Cup heroes Grimsby in front of a bumper crowd.

The seventh-placed Bantams are unbeaten in seven but have drawn their past four and really need a win today to keep their slim automatic promotion hopes alive.

Last night saw fifth-placed Stockport and sixth-placed Salford play out a 1-1 draw while Harrogate inched closer to securing their survival with a 1-1 draw at managerless Tranmere.

Ben Whiteman has got that in the locker. It's a free-kick and Preston have made them pay for it.

He's done him on his near post. It's got round the far end of the wall and the keeper should do better. He should be saving that.

    Luton 0-0 Watford

    Derek Payne
Former Watford midfielder on BBC Three Counties Radio

It was a brilliant save from Daniel Bachmann. It was a great reaction save but I was annoyed that Watford allowed Luton a two-on-one from a set-piece. It was poor.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 12:57 British Summer Time 1 April 2023

    Luton 0-0 Watford

Daniel Bachmann, take a bow. Somehow he sticks up a strong wrist to deflect over a powerful shot from Allan Campbell from eight yards out after the ball had stuck at the feet of Gabriel Osho following a left-wing corner.
