    Luton v Watford (12:30 BST)

Around 16 miles separates Kenilworth Road from Vicarage Road as the crow flies, but they are bonded by nearly 140 years of history, and you know what they say about familiarity…

Since these two first met in a friendly in December 1885, there have been more than 120 meetings, however today is just their sixth league encounter in more than 25 years.

After being appointed to the Watford hot seat last summer, Rob Edwards only enjoyed three wins in his 10 Championship games as manager - the fact they came against Burnley, Sheffield United and Middlesbrough now looks pretty extraordinary.

It was only six weeks on the sofa before Edwards replaced Nathan Jones at the helm at Kenilworth Road in mid-November with the Hatters in 10th place and the Hornets sat 4th.

Fast-forward to today and it’s Luton who are 4th, six points off an automatic place, having taken 14 points from their last six games, while Watford are 10th with only two wins from 11.

Preston will be without one player this afternoon after they suffered some injury woe in their 4-0 defeat by Middlesbrough.

Greg Cunningham is out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury picked up in their 4-0 loss.

"Injuries happen and it's come at a time [where] he's been excellent," boss Ryan Lowe told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"It's disappointing for him but we just have to make sure we do right by him and also right by the club."

Lowe added: "His contract is up at the end of the season which is not helpful. We'll have a conversation about where we can go, what we can do, and the rehab."
